Chapter 19: The Tomas Family

As another day dawned and time marched onwards, Colette Monet began her day in the same way that she had been doing while staying with Arabella Bardot: With growing confidence that what she had to do was right.

She knew that it would be a struggle, but it would ultimately be up to her convictions.

She walked down the stairs to the main room and greeted the redhead as she sat on the porch, sipping a cup of hibiscus tea. There were also some cookies beside the tea tray and another empty cup for Colette.

The blonde sat next to the woman and Arabella poured her a cup, giving her a sweet little smile.

“Good morning, Colette. My, you seem chipper.” said Arabella with fondness in her voice.

“Good morning. I do feel rather chipper, all things considered.” answered Colette as she took a sip of her tea. The liquid was nice and hot, and sweet as well as reserved. The perfect tea for someone like Arabella Bardot.
