Dad, we really need to get mom out of Damon's clan, before he uses her against us, Anthony said with a mouth full of rice.
Don't worry Anthony, your mother is a strong woman and she wouldn't let Damon use her in that way.
Sophia cares a lot about our family and she could do anything to protect us
Anthony swallowed his rice and looked up at his father, his eyes filled with concern. "But what if he forces her? What if she doesn't have a choice?"
His father sighed, placing a reassuring hand on Anthony's shoulder. "Your mother is resourceful and brave. She's faced worse and come out stronger. We will find a way to bring her back safely."
Anthony nodded, trying to trust his father's words. "Okay, Dad. What's the plan?"
"We need to gather information first. Understand Damon's weaknesses and his plans. We can't rush in blindly," his father explained. "I'll talk to some old friends who might have intel on Damon. In the meantime, you stay alert and focus on school. Your mother wouldn't want you to neglect your studies because of this."
Anthony reluctantly agreed, but his mind was already racing with thoughts of how he could help rescue his mother. As he cleared the table, he couldn't shake the image of her, strong and determined, facing whatever dangers lay ahead.
"I'll do whatever it takes," Anthony whispered to himself. "We'll get you back, Mom."

Alex entered the room with a letter in hand. "Anthony, this just came for you," he said, holding out the envelope. "The postman just delivered it."
Anthony took the letter, noting the unfamiliar handwriting on the front. He carefully opened it and began to read, his eyes widening with each line.
"It's from Mom," he said, his voice trembling with a mix of relief and urgency. "She's managed to send us a message."
His father quickly came over, peering over Anthony's shoulder to read the letter.
Alex glanced at them, worry etched on his face. "What are we going to do now?" he asked.
Anthony's father straightened, his expression resolute. "We stick to the plan. But now we have hope. Sophia requests to see Anthony, he would go and meet her."
Anthony felt a renewed sense of determination. "We'll get you back, Mom," he repeated, more confident this time. "No matter what."

*
Anthony stood by the old oak tree, his heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and dread. The place was secluded, far from the prying eyes of the fortress guards. He couldn't believe he was here, meeting his mother after everything that had happened. He had so many questions, so many things he needed to understand.
The sound of footsteps drew his attention, and he turned to see Sophia approaching. She looked frail and tired, the burden of guilt evident in her eyes. Anthony's heart ached at the sight of her, but he steeled himself, knowing he couldn't afford to be weak.
"Mother," he said, his voice strained. "Why did you want to see me?"
Sophia hesitated for a moment, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. "Anthony, I know you must hate me for everything that's happened. But I need you to understand, I did what I thought was best for you and Marcus."
Anthony's eyes narrowed. "Best for us? Do you have any idea what we've been through because of your choices?"
Sophia flinched at his words, her guilt deepening. "I know, Anthony. And I'm so sorry. But Damon is dangerous. He's planning something terrible, and you need to be careful."
Anthony shook his head, frustration boiling over. "Why should I trust anything you say? You've lied to us before."
Sophia took a step closer, her voice trembling. "Because I'm your mother, and I love you. And because I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make things right, even if it means sacrificing myself."
Anthony's resolve wavered as he saw the sincerity in her eyes. He wanted to believe her, but the wounds were still too fresh. "What do you want from me, Mother?"
Sophia took a deep breath. "I want to help you. Damon and Adrian are plotting to turn your allies against you. They plan to manipulate your emotions, make you think they want to reconcile. But it's all a trap."
Anthony's mind raced as he processed her words. He knew Damon was capable of such deceit, but hearing it from his mother added a new layer of complexity. "And why should I believe you're not part of this trap?"
Sophia's eyes filled with tears. "Because I can't live with myself knowing I've caused you so much pain. Please, Anthony, let me help you. Let me prove that I'm on your side."
Anthony studied her for a long moment, the tension between them thick. Finally, he nodded, though his trust was tentative. "Alright. But if you betray me again, I won't hesitate to end this."
Sophia nodded, relief washing over her. "I understand. Thank you, Anthony."
---
Back at the fortress, Damon watched from a hidden vantage point, a satisfied smile playing on his lips. The meeting between Anthony and Sophia had gone exactly as he had hoped. He turned to Adrian, who was equally pleased.
"It seems our plan is working," Damon said. "Anthony's trust in his mother will be his downfall."
Adrian nodded, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "We need to move quickly. If Anthony senses the trap, he could turn the tables on us."
Damon's smile was cold. "Don't worry. Sophia's guilt will keep her in line. She won't dare betray us now."
Adrian looked thoughtful. "And what about Marcus? We still don't know his intentions."
Damon's expression darkened. "We'll deal with Marcus soon enough. For now, we focus on breaking Anthony. Once he's out of the way, the rest will fall into place."
Adrian nodded, his mind already racing with the next steps of their plan. "Let's make sure everything is ready. We can't afford any mistakes."
---
Back in her cell, Sophia's heart was heavy with the weight of her deception. She had managed to warn Anthony, but she knew it wasn't enough. Damon and Adrian were ruthless, and they wouldn't stop until they had what they wanted.
Sophia lay on the cold floor, her thoughts a whirlwind of guilt and fear. She had to find a way to truly protect her sons, even if it meant sacrificing herself. She closed her eyes, praying for the strength to do what needed to be done.
--
Anthony returned to he, his mind churning with everything his mother had told him. He knew he had to be cautious, but he also couldn't ignore the possibility that she was genuinely trying to help.
He explained the situation and the potential trap to Marcus and Alex. They listened intently, their faces set with determination.
"We need to be careful," Anthony said. "But we also need to strike before Damon and Adrian have a chance to turn our allies against us."
They nodded in agreement, ready to stand by his side. Anthony's resolve hardened. He would not let Damon and Adrian win. With his allies by his side and his mother's warning in his mind, he was determined to bring them down and reclaim the peace that had been shattered.
As the sun set, Anthony looked out over the horizon, the weight of the coming battle heavy on his shoulders. He knew the path ahead would be treacherous, but he was ready to face it head-on.
