Help Me!

Iris watched Mariano and Love left in Love's red Jaguar. She stood unmoving even when she could no longer see their car.

"Let's get inside," he asked her.

But Iris ignored Calixto and just stood there. The crocodile tears in her eyes had dried out for a while now but her mouth had been pulled into thin line. Her eyes were cold every time she would throw her gaze to Calixto.

She had tried her best to keep Mariano in the mansion. And she failed. Her pride was bruised.

"Mariano had to go."

Iris snapped her head at Calixto and glared at him angrily.

"Your cousin was going to agree. But you're the one who kept on saying that Mariano should be with his sire. Why did you do that?" She asked in a high tone of voice.

Calixto exhaled softly. He tried to remind himself that Iris was just sad and emotional that Mariano left.
