It couldn't get worse......

"I was the first to wake Jack this morning; It turns out I was getting a whiff of bad odour then realized I hadn't taken my bath for days now.

"Jack! Wake up. Wake up please"

"What's it again"

"How do we take our bath?"

"Just take some of my clean clothes; if we get to the market, we can use the public bathroom"

"Ah! Thank goodness, I was about to lose my mind"

"Sorry, I forgot to tell you earlier.

Let's get going

*After few miles walk from the bridge and a few blocks away from the market entrance; they got to a well- known and established public restroom (toilet and bathroom). It was the only largest restroom the government had been able to build in that particular market.

"Go in, I would pay the person in charge" he strutted confidently.

'Okay, Segun retorted as he rushed in feeling uncomfortable trying the public restroom; *Twenty minutes had passed since Segun went in to take a shower…

'Finally; what took you so long'

'I have not bathed for almost three days now, isn't that enough reason for me to take long in there? What is this! Why did you wash my clothes all by yourself?'

"I saw the opportunity, so I went ahead and besides you wouldn't do it after you took your bath, would you? Well, it's my turn; I'll be back in a jiffy

*Now it was Segun alone outside, it was the second time he had left him like this; He was bored so he decided to take a look around the market, as he passed through an ally, a voice calling out his name unending every time he moved an inch; he already knew that the person was approaching him, he quickly looked backwardly and was shocked to see the person behind him.

"Mr David, you scared me. How are you doing Sir?"

"Am fine, by the way what's your name?"

"It's Segun sir, thank you for the other day"

"It's no big deal; you shouldn't be walking in this place alone, especially this particular place, its dangerous okay"

"Okay sir, I would take my leave"

"Well am on duty, so I'll be leaving now; See you soon. Bye!

Segun's p.o.v

'Does it mean that he's going to come looking for me again? And what duty was he on? Could he be a Police Officer? Segun kept thinking, he totally forgot what Mr David warned him about.Suddenly someone grabbed his hands and pinned them, then he covered his mouth to prevent him from screaming for help but he couldn't just let someone kidnap him; so he did all he could to escape from this man but to no avail but instead got the man threatening him.

"Boy! Stop struggling or else".

"Leave me alone!

*Before Segun could do any other thing else the man had rubbed his nose with a white handkerchief and his vision getting blurring till he was knocked out.

Back at the public restroom, Jack was done taking his bath and he was already outside looking for Segun; He was shocked at first, because he didn't usual like leaving his side.

"Segun!!! He kept calling out his name but he got no response; immediately he went to the shops they visited yesterday. He first thought that he would have went to Mrs. Pelumi's shop to eat but he couldn't find him.

"Ma please inform him to come to Mrs. Titi's shop if he passed by"

"Okay my child, I will"

"Thank you, Bye! He zoomed off to Mrs. Titi's shop with his last hope of finding him but as he got to her shop the response he got from her pierced his heart; he was scared and he suggested that she call the Police that was nearby.

"We can't call the police to look for him until 24 hours my dear, she said sadly. We both have to look for him; maybe he got lost in the market"

"Okay ma, let's go then"

*They looked for Segun; describing his features to people they saw in the market but everyone they talked to about his whereabouts said they never saw him. They looked for him but eventually the night befalls them; they haven't rested since the time Segun got missing".

"Jack, I think you should take a break at my house, we would go and report to the police tomorrow morning, and I presume you're really stressed out right now and I don't think it's safe for you outside wandering alone".

"Okay ma, I will stay at your house for now; but please help me find my friend".

"Don't worry, am sure the police will do their job well".

some of you might be wandering why Mrs. Titi didn't take them in and Segun's getting kidnapped won't have happened anyways, but in life if it's not in people's capacity or interest to help you, they won't and you have to accept that.
