Toshiro vs Gin

Toshiro approached Gin as they stood face to face, he glanced around and noticed Yoruichi with Ichigo and Uryuu observing them from a distance, before focusing back on Gin.

"Actually Gin, I'd like to talk to you."

Gin raised a brow, "And what might you wanna talk about?"

"Aizen, I know your working for him and I know what he did to Rangiku... I wanna work with you."

Gin didn't even attempt to hide it as he frowned, "Where does all this information come from? You even figured out where the Hogyoky was somehow..." He absently muttered.

Toshiro had a small smirk as he replied, "Who knows?"

Gin then narrowed his eyes, "You wanna work with me? I'll decline, I'm plenty fine by myself."

Toshiro didn't waver, "I don't mean literally work together, but I know you and Aizen are planning something big soon, I simply want information when I ask for it in the future."

Toshiro needed Gin as a back-up just in case his current plan fails, he needed to make sure that if the future changes, he'll immediatley know.

Gin had an apprehensive look, "I don't think you understand, even If I did work with you and that's a big if, Aizen will catch on immediatley."

Toshiro simply shook his head in response, "You can't be victorious without taking risks, do you really think you can stop Aizen by yourself? And when you fail, what do you think will happen to Rangiku? You think she'll be happy in a world without you?" He pressed about Rangiku because he knew that was Gin's weak spot.

Gin's frown deepened until suddenly, he dashed forward with his sword.

Toshiro's eyes narrowed as he calmly parried each blow, "Is this your decision?"

Gin silently grunted as he replied, "We'll need an alibi on why the Ryoka got away from us, we might as well make it seem like we fought close to death."

Toshiro's eyes gleamed in realization, he wasn't sure if Gin agreed or not, but he at least seemed thoughtful about it. While he didn't trust him, he hoped Gin's love for Rangiku would work in his favor.

They continued to fight as Toshiro then calmly weaved his head side to side, dodging all of Gin's sword thrust attempts at his head.

Toshiro then retaliated by grabbing onto his overextended arm and slashing down his sword with his opposite hand.

Gin reacted quickly by aiming his sword under Toshiro's, "Pierce his flesh... Shinso!" until it abruptly extended and pushed Toshiro's sword back.

Toshiro used the momentum of the force behind Gin's sword as he did a back flip and kicked him in the chin, he was then launched back by Gin's extending sword.

"Not bad..." Gin mumbled as he spit out blood, he de-extended his sword, allowing Toshiro to calmly land on the ground.

"There's plenty where that came from." Toshiro muttered as he vanished with a gust of wind left in his wake.

He reappeared in front of Gin whose eyes could only gape, 'Such speed! To think his speed drastically increased by so much, fortunately, our strength seems relative.'

Clang!

Their sword clashed again, but this time Gin grinned as he slid his blade down Toshiro's sword.

Gin's sword suddenly extended, but Toshiro nimbly jumped up and landed on top of the blade with his toe calmly.

He then unexpectedly slashed his sword in a horizontal arc, Gin assumed it was an ice attack as he felt Toshiro's Spiritual Pressure swell, so he swiftly backed up to avoid it.

But his eyes widened as there was no ice.

'It was a bluff-' His thoughts were cut short as a fist enveloped his vision and slammed into his face.

Gin's figure was sent flying across the ground as he continuously rolled for dozens of meters.

He quickly stopped himself as he dug his feet into the ground and slowly stood up.

Gin then glanced up, "My my, Captain Hitsugaya you've become quite powerful, it seems I'll be forced to resort to this..."

Gin's form changed, holding his small sword over his hand, he aimed it at Toshiro as his Spiritual Pressure flared, causing Toshiro to furrow his brows.

'He's actually enjoying this fight...' Toshiro deadpanned, he then watched as Gin muttered.

"𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗮𝗶: 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗻𝗼 𝗬𝗮𝗿𝗶"

Toshiro coolly tilted his head to the side as a silver light zoomed past his head, barely missing him.

He eyed the sword that appeared beside him until it instantly disappeared, causing Toshiro to narrow his eyes.

"That's quite the speed you got there." Toshiro remarked as his expression turned more serious than usual.

'Reacting to its speed isn't much of a problem, the real danger is its unpredictability of when he'll extend or shorten it.' Toshiro thought inwardly, Gin's bankai had the ability to extend for miles, but its most special attribute was how fast it could extend.

"It's fast isn't it? It's over 500 times the speed of sound." Gin declared with a condescending smile.

He then zoomed forward toward Toshiro's position, 'While Hitsugaya's movement speed is much beyond me, we have relative dexterity/hand speed, so I must keep our fight in close quarters.'

And even though their fight was meant to be for show, it seemed Gin didn't care as he fought seriously.

Toshiro met Gin head-on as their sword continuously clashed, sparks flew as their zanpakutos moved at blinding speeds.

Cuts slowly started to accumulate on Gin, and even Toshiro wasn't spared as slight cuts appeared on his clothes, but no blood could be seen.

Gin would randomly extend and de-extend the sword as he smirked.

But in the distance, Cat Yoruichi, Ichigo and Uryuu, could be seen watching the fight...

"Uhm, Yoruichi, you said the white-haired Captain said he was on our side, so shouldn't we help him?" Ichigo questioned as he didn't let his eyes off the battle.

"Indeed, it seems he's having trouble dealing with the other Captain." Uryuu added.

"Weren't you guys just glaring at him a few minutes ago?" Yoruichi chuckled.

"That's because we didn't know he was an ally! He practically acted like an enemy." Ichigo retorted as Uryuu nodded in agreement.

Yoruichi watched the fight interestedly as she answered their question, "While it may seem close, Captain Hitsugaya has only been using his physical capabilities while his opponent is already in Bankai, which is a 10x multiplier in overall combat depending on their ability."

Both their eyes widened as they heard her continue speaking.

"You guys should have realized by now his zanpakuto is an ice elemental, but it's the most powerful one... So do you guys see any ice over there?" Yoruichi asked as if it was obvious.

Ichigo stared over there and noticed she was right, he hadn't used his ability the entire time, "Why wouldn't he use his ice then?"

Yoruichi's small cat shoulders shrugged, "I wouldn't know, he probably has some ulterior motives."

Back with Gin and Toshiro, they finally stepped away from each other.

Toshiro's Captain uniform was lightly shredded with small cuts, but Gin was rather bloodied up, as cuts could be seen everywhere.

Gin then frowned, "Your underestimating me aren't you?" He noticed since the beginning of the fight that Toshiro hadn't once used his ice and was getting slightly annoyed at being looked down upon.

Toshiro had a calm frosty expression as he spoke, "Don't you know who I am? I'm Toshiro Hitsugaya, Captain of Division 10 and the Prodigy of the Soul Society."

Gin's eyes opened up as they narrowed dangerously, "To think you would surpass me so fast, how frightening..." He murmured as his smile returned to his face.

Toshiro slowly raised up his sword and pointed it at Gin with a smirk, before uttering,

"𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗶 𝗛𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀𝘂."

Before Gin could even react, his body instantly turned into ice as if he was an ice sculpture.

Toshiro's indifferent voice resounded as he calmly walked past Gin's frozen stature, "It releases Daiguren Hyourinmaru and freezes all the earth, water, wind, and fire inside of 4 paces, meaning it freezes all matter itself... Had I not tired you out by only using my physical attributes, you might have had enough Spiritual Pressure to break out of this from the beginning and this match would have been much closer but unfortunately for you, that wasn't the case."

He left those words behind as he didn't look back.

Toshiro then noticed that Yorucihi and the other two were still watching, so he approached them in his slightly shredded Captain's haori.

"So Yoruichi, are we allies or not?" He nonchalantly asked while cracking his neck.

"Fine, I guess we can talk-"

Yoruichi stopped talking as Toshiro swiftly turned around and grabbed an extended blade.

Toshiro could only stare wide-eyed, "Are you for real?"

Gin seemingly broke out of the ice as he seemed to be shivering, but his extended sword dug into Toshiro's palm who firmly grabbed it.

Blood slowly dripped from his hand onto the ground as his eyes turned cold.

"Enough Gin." His Spiritual Pressure flared as it weighed upon the atmosphere around them, causing a cold breeze to flow through.

Gin had his usual smile but didn't release his extended sword.

Yoruichi stood in front of Ichigo and Uryuu protectively as Toshiro frowned.

The atmosphere turned cold as the clouds slowly started to gather above him, with violent winds carrying the snow falling from the sky.

"Gin, I'm warning you once more, stand down, or I really won't hesitate to kill you." Toshiro once again warned, his voice displayed his seriousness.

After staring off for a few more seconds, Gin finally de-extended his blade and sheathed his zanpakuto.

"Well I think it's time for us to go, it seems neither of us has intentions of harming the Ryoka." Gin suddenly said as he started to walk away.

Toshiro sheathed his zanpakuto with an annoyed expression, 'It seems he was testing my determination/skill, most likely to see if I was worthy to work with him... And I even underestimated his strength.' He was unhappy that he gauged his strength wrong, it seemed even though he had all these future memories, he still lacked experience compared to others, which may soon be his downfall if he doesn't improve faster.

But he was nonetheless satisfied with this test of strength, now he could surmise that if his Shikai was on par with the likes of Bankai Gin, who is relative to Bankai Byakuya, who in turn is relative to current Zaraki.

'Meaning that my full strength is currently stronger than the majority of the Gotei 13, but there are still many Captains stronger than me like the Head Captain, Shunsui, Unohana, or Jushiro, and obviously Aizen.'

Toshiro inwardly shook his head as he glanced at Yoruichi who was perched on Ichigo's shoulder, "We shall talk later Yoruichi."

He simply vanished, as he and Gin prepared to go to the meeting that was about to be called because of the so-called invasion by the Ryoka.

They both appeared inside the Seireitei as they walked through the outside stone corridors.

"Was that really necessary?" Toshiro complained as he froze the wound on his hand with a simple wave from his palm.

"Just had to gauge your strength and intent." Gin simply answered as they walked side by side.

Soul reapers walking past them would glance at them weirdly/worriedly, but noticing that both Captains seemed to want to be left alone, they continued their path as they gossiped.

Toshiro glimpsed at Gin's bloodied figure as he asked, "So what conclusion did you come to?"

Gin didn't glance back as he replied, "You can be useful."

Toshiro seemed amused at the answer as they silently walked.

"Captain!" Rangiku abruptly appeared as she jogged toward him and Gin.

She stopped in front of them, her gaze lingered on Gin's bloodied body for a few seconds, before quickly looking back at Toshiro.

"You and Captain Ichimaru have been summoned." She announced with a worried look.

"Yeah we know." Toshiro calmly nodded, as the 3 of them continued to walk.

Rangiku's gaze would stray to Gin from time to time, before simply deciding to stay quiet as they finally arrived infront of the large entrance of the meeting room.

Rangiku followed Behind Toshiro who was beside Gin, as they stood at the beginning of the hall.

All the Captains were present, as some of them raised brows at Gin's bloodied state and Toshiro's slightly shredded haori.

"Captain Hitsugaya and Captain Ichimaru, you two were seen by the Ryoka who just invaded." Yamamoto's gruff voice resounded as he opened one eye, "But it seems you two have come empty-handed, am I to presume both of you failed in capturing them?"

Gin's smile never left his face, "Well as you can see, we were in an intense battle."

Zaraki had a disappointed gaze as he spoke, "Don't tell me you two got your asses handed to you by some Ryoka?"

Mayuri scoffed, "That's absurd, the most likely conclusion is that these two fought each other."

Toshiro nodded in confirmation, causing the other Captains to sigh or shake their head with a frown.

Soifon glared at the two, "You two idiots actually fought each other, and even let the Ryoka go!?"

Both Gin and Toshiro didn't respond as their eyes looked in the opposite direction, as if they were caught red-handed.

Zaraki then suddenly grinned, "By the looks of it, it seems Ichimaru didn't stand a chance." He remarked as he noticed the difference between the lack of wounds on Toshiro's body compared to Gin.

Gin smirked, "Well our little prodigy seems to have grown into quite the little monster... But I myself would be plenty enough for you." He sneered in response.

Zaraki's Spiritual Pressure spiked with battle lust as he smiled, "Why don't we test that out?"

Gin and Zaraki stepped closer to each other until a loud thud resounded.

"Enough of your bickering!" Yamamoto commanded, causing Zaraki to huff as he backed up into line.

Yamamoto then opened both his eyes as he stared at Gin and Toshiro at the center, "And you two fools fighting each other while an emergency situation suddenly arises! How stupid can you be?"

After some more reprimanding, Yamamoto didn't punish them because it wasn't the time for it, so he simply warned them that if it happened again, they won't get away so easily.
