"So you are telling me that you still went there after I told you not to?" The green-haired boy looked at Jihan his eyes and voice filled with rage.
"Seonil, do not get angry listen, It was master Loli who wanted to go there and she asked me to go with her." Jihan tried to explain himself.
Bonk! He was karate chopped in the head.
"You should have refused! It was dangerous! You have no idea what could have potentially happened to you!" Seonil tried to educate his best friend.
"But-" Bonk! Another Chop. "But, nothing! when I am talking you listen. You Idiot, you could have died!" He wanted to instill reason in him.
"Man, are you my mom or what?" Jihan asked as awkwardly looked to the side.
Super Bonk! "Thank God I am not or I would die from worry. You fucker don't even think about the fact that there are people worrying for you out there!"
"Ouch! You are Bonking the same place."
The veins on Seonil's forehead could practically be seen throbbing. Super Duber Bonk!
"Fucker, you put your Ki into that one!" Jihan protested before saying.
"Sigh, God, how come I have to look after this Idiot?" Seonil lamented, he didn't notice but when he said "God" Jihan momentarily twitched. "And you, I thought you put most of your point in INT? How come you are so dumb?"
"Huh... I am not dumb, intelligence makes my cognitive capabilities better... It's WIS that makes me more creative, my poor ideas all come from my low WIS." He tried to explain.
"Then put some point in it, you fool."
"Good choice of word if I may say." Jihan pointed a finger as he complimented Seonil, but his answer was merely another Bonk to the head.
"No, you may not!"
As he said, Seonil finally calmed down. It took some effort for him to not lock his friend up in his basement so that he won't do some stupid shit like that again.
"S- Seonil...?" Jihan hesitantly called.
"What?" Seonil looked at him, his expression already tired of the boy's bullshits.
"I may or may not have told you everything..."
"What else did you do?" His face hardened as he asked. Perhaps he should really lock him up somewhere to be safe.
"So here's the complete story..." Jihan proceeded to explain everything in detail to Seonil...
"..."
"..."
"..."
Seonil had no answer, he didn't know how to respond to this... It was just too over the top.
...
"Let me get this right, you are telling me that you met a Japanese God of death..."
"More like he came looking after me."
"So a Japanese death God came looking for you because he was interested in your ability, and decided to take you as his disciple... and you accepted?"
"Pretty much yeah."
"..."
"..."
They kept looking at each other in silence.
"Imma need some alcohol to go with that."
"Since when do you drink?"
"Since right now."
"..."
...
2 hours later. Inside Shin and his Family's villa.
"Letting the matter of your friend almost having a heart attack aside. Let's talk about you." Shin said as he drank his tea served to him by the lovely Nelliel who for some reason seemed more energic than usual.
"Yes, what do you wanna know?" Jihan asked as he also drank his tea, he was not a tea person, he preferred orange juice but he was afraid of offending Nelliel if he refused.
"Also if you don't like tea, you don't have to drink it. Nelliel serves him a cup of orange juice." Shin of course could see that much without effort.
"Of course, Shin-sama." Nelliel answered before going to prepare one, she was going to concoct it herself.
"How?" Jihan asked with surprise.
"How do I know? That much is easy, let's say I have an ability like your "Inspect" but superior in all points." Shin revealed.
"I shouldn't have even been surprised." Jihan sighed as he posed the cup of tea on the table.
"You will get used to it... Moving on. You should be around Level 25 right?" This seemed like one but it was not a question.
"How... no, never mind... I guess I am still underestimating you." Jihan gave up on understanding. He could understand that the man would get information about him. But information from his interfaces like Level and all those game stats was another matter, this was a first for him.
"I am indeed level 25." He answered.
"And you have a magic build... how many status points do you have in stock?"
"30."
"Hm... You are really too weak after all."
"Hey! I am not weak, you are the one stupidly strong!" Jihan defended himself. He was strong enough to at least defend himself.
"I guess that's also true, but that doesn't change the fact that you are weak, you can't even be placed within the heavenly thousands with your current strength."
"Isn't that, like as strong as master Loli?"
"Yes, but for your information, Lolikiano Mistrim is not that strong considering there is a gap among even those ranked within the heavenly thousands," Shin explained.
"But I digress. Let's talk about how to get you stronger so you can be more... useful."
"Why do I think like I am going to be exploited like a corporate worker?" Jihan asked.
"Just your imagination."
"Jihan-sama." Nelliel gave him his orange juice.
"Thank you noona." He said making her smile at him.
"Anyway, I am going to create a training regime for you. Along with teaching you a couple of stuff."
"A training regime? But I am a magician?"
"Yes and?"
"Shouldn't I just like... focus on magic before all?"
"I understand where you are coming from, but let me ask you this. What is your ability?"
"Huh?" Jihan was sure his new master already knew about it, so why was he still asking him? He started thinking more deeply about it.
"A power that gives me almost infinite potential?" Jihan came to the conclusion.
"Yes, that's the true nature of your ability, one that gives you unending potential... in all domains. You have the ability to learn anything with enough time and effort."
"It's basically a form of omnicompetence... As long as you dedicate yourself to it nothing is truly impossible for you to realize. That's also why I am so interested in it." Jihan started to gain a new perspective considering his ability.
"It would be a waste if not heresy for you to only focus on a single path considering you are one of the rarest people having the potential to become a true jack of all trades and master of all. And for that, your ability is really convenient since you can gain strange in multiple ways."
"So yes, I am going to create a training regime for you, one based on your ability to learn anything I can possibly throw at you and even more. Have you an objection? "
"No Sir!" Jihan unconsciously followed along.
"Perfect, from now on listen to me and do not doubt. First, you will be investing all the points you get from leveling in INT, WIS, and LUCK. To a ratio of 5-3-2. The ability to regenerate mana faster is just as important as the amount of mana you have. And Luck is something you won't ever regret investing in. It's basically plot armor. For your body, you will get stronger through physical training. You have the ability to infinitely grow stronger that way as well as long as some prerequisites are met. I also want to see how your ability affects you on an informative and conceptual level."
"Understood!" That was not hard to understand... Not hard at all.
"Then take those." Shin reached for nothingness and took out a couple of books which he handed to Jihan.
They were The heaven path of Sword, Spear, Bow, Hakuda, Sonido, and Hierro. With his ability, he will be able to learn everything without any difference whatsoever.
Jihan thought, his eyes were filled with stars as he saw that all of those were Divine Tier... Heck, he didn't even know that such a tier existed... He really won by getting such a master.
Indeed, Master Shin was the best... He even gave him a Pokeball before that as well.
"What are doing? Learn them."
"Yes master, right now." Without losing any time he learned them all.
Nelliel was fascinated seeing the books just disappear into nothingness. Was that all?
Shin thought concentrating on something else. Just by seeing Jihan learn those skills, his knowledge and understanding of his ability reached even higher levels, he could see how it interacted with the world and reality, and the different rules it went by.
He was also able to pinpoint everything related to it in the Akashic record of this world... he was going to have a better look at it later.
"That feeling is awesome!" Jihan said as he disappeared from one place to another, skipping through the room with a couple of steps by using Sonido. Before coming back to his previous place and saying. "Realy thank you, master!" He was truly grateful. He would certainly have fun leveling those ups. Plus the perks and multiplier he got from them were really amazing. Predominantly those that are Passive and active at the same time.
Nelliel could see that he became around 70% stronger just by learning those skills, she could also recognize him using Sonido which should have been impossible for a normal human. But knowing a bit about his ability and seeing how Shin-sama was interested in it, she could accept that much.
Now Nelliel remembered that she also received those books... She should really start learning them and get stronger... It wouldn't if the other Arrancars grew in strength and she didn't. That would make Shin-sama disappointed... Unacceptable.
"Now go play in the Great dungeon and level up fast." Shin shooed him away.
"Yes... huh... Ah... Mn... M-master..." Jihan first accepted before remembering something, making hesitance appear.
"Is there something wrong?" Shin knew exactly what was going on.
"N-nothing, never mind. I am going ." With that Jihan with just one thought in mind. 'Guess Seonil will kill me.'
After Jihan left, Shin looked more into the information concerning his abilities, how it came to exist and how worked thoroughly... or at least he tried since it seemed that an unknown force was interfering with him...
"That sure is unexpected... I can look through all the other records without problem but something is restricting information about Jihan's ability...." He spoke aloud as his habitude.
"Shin-sama?" Nelliel was worried
"Don't worry Nell, it's merely a bother, I will be able to get what I want sooner or later..." With that Shin returned to his thought, not noticing Nelliel's face reddening and ear's practically fuming.
Shin-sama called her Nell... Nell... Nobody called her like that before... Does Shin-sama like her a little more now? Did her effort bear fruit?
Nell... Yes, she liked that, Nell was going to try even harder for Shin-sama.
"Still, I can't help but think that something isn't quite right..." Shin muttered
...
'Something is wrong.' Yoruichi thought as she was on her way back home.
Since Shin was going to meet with his disciple she decided to take a stroll and look around, it was her first in Korea, even more, the Korea of another world.
At first, everything was normal, she was just looking around and also bought an ice cream on the way but from this point, onward strange events started happening one after another.
First, someone tried to stab her out of nowhere, and she could see that that person was a normal human. She didn't have any trouble taking care of him and the passerby even called the police.
Seeing as she had no identification means she quickly disappeared from the scene. Then as she tried to cross the road, and she was sure from the light on the ground that she could cross it.
Furthermore, there were no cars coming so she decided to cross it but as she did a road truck seemingly appeared out of nowhere and rushed toward her with extreme speed... well truck from a normal human standard.
Noticing it, she appeared on the other side with a step and saw the truck still speeding forward along the road.
As she thought of those two seemingly unrelated events, Yoruichi couldn't help but have a bad feeling about them. She was already on her way back home.
Suddenly she took a step to the side and appeared twenty meters away, just quick enough to evade a lighting that was supposed to fall on her.
Looking at the sky, as expected she never saw a bluer sky, it was completely free of clouds. Now the question was where the fuck did the lighting come from?
"Something is definitely wrong. It's like the world is against me or something."
