(3rd Person POV)

"So..."

"So..."

"How are you this fine morning young Sora?"

He scratched his forehead. "As okay as I can be for an abnormal morning I suppose."

Kisuke eyebrow raised behind his fan, "Abnormal morning? What do you mean?"

"Do you want the truth or the lie?"

"Obviously the truth," he responded with interest.

"I can sense the same type of energy that Dad recently has been producing from you, the stranger I met for the first time in my life that Dad trusts enough to send me here alone, and the big guy with the weird hair at the entrance. Is that enough truths for you?"

"So you are oblivious to the other side of the afterlife."

"And I'm guessing that Dad is deeply involved with it. Let me guess, you all are the Slayers."

"Slayers?"

"You know. The black-clothed people with swords and sandals? The people with the unique energy you have?"

"Oh. You mean the Shinigami."

"They have proper terms? Also, Death God? You are telling me that my dad and you are some kind of Grim Reapers?"

"You catch on quick." He smiled.

"Anyone with a working brain can too." Sora went into a thinking position. "You mentioned that Shinigami are the other side of the afterlife and it's coming together. I can now understand why others can't see them and most likely, Ichigo's powers are still immature and thus he hasn't seen the monsters or the Shinigami yet."

"Hollows," he interrupted. "The things you call Holes are known as Hollows. They are corrupted human souls that never made it to the Soul Society where the dead reside. We Shinigami send them there to live their second life. Once they die, they are then reincarnated and reborn as a new person. Thus, an endless cycle."

"...the fact that you know that I call them Holes means that you've been spying on me. Dad certainly doesn't have this knowledge of me. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that when Shinigami kill the Hollows, they become Souls again?"

"Uh...I'll explain the first part later. As for the Souls, they are called Pluses until they reach the Soul Society. Just a small fact. As for the Hollow killing, how did you come to that conclusion?"

Shrugging, he replied, "Like you said, an endless cycle. A cycle must have a balance to work efficiently, so I predicted that you people purify them by killing them."

"Correct. Good conclusion."

"Oh, I have much more to say though."

"Go on. I wanted to discuss more with you."

"Okay. Let's begin with my heritage."

"Ah. I'm assuming that this is your main question."

"Yes," Sora agreed. It has been bothering him for a month and it still is. "I am a Shinigami, Hollow, and some third being that produces Positive Energy. I can probably add Human to myself too. Although...recent developments have brought more confusion."

Kisuke sighed. "Your mother was a Quincy. They are humans with the ability to draw in Spirit Particles in the atmosphere using their Spiritual Power and create bows with a Quincy Cross. As they don't have much Spiritual Power, they manipulate Spirit Particles instead of their own energy. There is a problem with their race though. When they kill Hollows with Spirit Particles, they are wiping them out completely. Due to this, the Shinigami have gotten rid of most of them a long time ago. Now, only a few live and they barely go after Hollows."

"That...explains a lot. The cross on my blanket and some of my clothing. Mom was sharing her heritage with me and I didn't even know it. Wait. Bows? Like the one, I can make?"

Kisuke pointed at Sora with his fan. "Yes and no. Quincies usually train to generate bows with Spirit Particles but you? You have done that without any prior training. What's bizarre is that you somehow created a shortcut to it by a new energy that is in your body."

"Yeah. It's been worrying me too. Especially since this energy has traces of Hollow Spiritual Power but not at the same time. Its kind of like this energy is the child of Hollow Spiritual Power. I've sensed a group with this energy before out of town."

"There are more of you?"

"Possibly? Actually, this...Nova. Trademarked. I'm naming it Nova from now on." Kisuke eye-rolled. "Nova is more of a diluted Hollow Spiritual Power. Some Hollows attack humans with large Spiritual Power like me and what if, a human survived the attack and was a pregnant woman at the time? Mom's body had some of the Frog's energy on her when she died so it is reasonable that the unborn baby was affected by it. Thus creating Nova. My Mom was attacked too right? That's why I have Hollow Spiritual Power in me? It's a working theory at the moment."

Rubbing his head, Kisuke gave Sora a calculating gaze. "Everything is presumably valid. Except for the last part. Your mother was attacked yes. However, the Hollow that damaged her was trying to fuse with her. Unfortunately, Quincies and Hollow are opposites, making them poisonous for each other. Your father gave up his powers and everything from the Soul Society to return the favor of Masaki saving his life. Eventually, they fell in love and she gave birth to four children who are not accepted by the Soul Society and are extremely dangerous."

"Damn. I'm not a teen yet and I'm targeted. Wonderful."

"That's why I'm offering to train you," said Kisuke with a cheerful tone.

"Train me? In what? You don't have three of the four Spiritual Powers residing within me."

"No, but I think I can fix that."

Sora was curious. "How?"

"By killing you of course."

He blinked. "Before we do this crazy plan of yours that I'm going to follow for some reason, can you explain the fusing Hollow and the whole, stalking a spiritually aware child?"

"I can't answer the first one." Kisuke ignored the indirect jabs. "Not until I know I can trust you ninety percent. As for the second, it was a good friend of mine."

'I wouldn't trust a kid I met for the first time too. Though I do have some ideas as to what he's talking about. It's probably why he's here in the human world and not in the Soul Society. Was he driven out? Was he framed? A fusing Hollow does sound like an experiment gone wrong. He kinda has a mad scientist vibe to him. Or maybe, the Soul Society doesn't accept Hollows at all. That might be why my family is targeted. We have Hollow Spiritual Power. Well...only me and Ichigo so far anyway. There is a chance that a third party is involved.' Sora frowned and sighed in resignation. 'In the end, it doesn't matter if we trust each other or not. I need more power and he has provided a perfect space. Knowing him, I'm going to be spied on and that forces me to hide as much as information as I can. A troubling task but necessary all the same.'

Sora brainstormed for answers on the second topic. Kisuke mentioned a friend and the only thing that captured his attention was the...

"Cat! The cat that had the Shinigami powers! It's your friend?"

"Yep. When did you realize it?"

"Are you serious? I always did. When I went to the crowd and I questioned whether they have noticed a cat from where it was watching me, they gave me a negative answer. I thought it was some kind of ghost cat that was attracted to me. No wonder I stubbed my toe recently. It was a stupid black cat!"

Kisuke snorted in amusement as he got up and led Sora to a very special place.
