TAKAHASHI
"I want you to know, no matter what your father tells you, you are his son."
I stared at my mother; she looked paler than usual and it somehow bothered me.
Her health has been waning, but she never said a word about it.
Maybe she had, did, with my father or someone else. But to me, she said nothing at all.
"Are you alright, mother?"
My mother smiled, her tired eyes attempting to light up as she stroked my hair like she had always done ever since I was little.
"I want you to be happy, Takahashi. No matter what happens in the future, I want you to find your path and find happiness."
My mother's words echoed inside my head. But what is happiness?
The meaning drowned somewhere when she died and left me at the mercy of a father who no longer saw me as his son.
Margaux Cortez may think that Aiko was a weakness. I actually didn't care what she would've done to her that night.
