I opened my eyes and noticed a gold trail leading out of the window and as I looked out the window I noticed a golden figure crouching in the treetops. I blinked twice and saw Eve looking at me from the treetops.

She motioned for me to go.

I nodded and immediately headed out of the room as I made my way towards his office once more. I heard hushed voices behind the door before I felt a burst of heat spread throughout my neck as a stinging and burning sensation spread throughout my neck and shoulder and that's when I realized that meant Taylor was marking Derek as hers.

*Flashback*

I landed on the ground hard as my gray feathers quivered behind my back. They were so disappointing and small because I am the lowest rank of them all.

I landed in mud and watched as feet approached me. I looked up and saw a smirking Liam looking down at me with such a pitiful look.
