Chapter 398: Jessica lost her job

To him, he felt that she had the right to walk away for what he had told her, she drove to his house so late and stayed up all night to take care of him and he said that to her - she obviously had the right to leave but then she was apologizing for leaving.

"Come on, you should not be apologizing for that, I am the one at fault here..... I should not have said that to you" Luca said fondling with her hair.

Annabelle took a deep breath releasing her self from his hold" I think we should just forget about what happened, it is all in the past now" she said cupping his cheek.

She held his hands as they walked to her table "sit down, let us talk" she said as her gaze pointed at the chair.

Luca nodded and sat down, if his guts were right he knew that she wanted to ask him what happened yesterday and why he was not feeling too well.

He watched her as she began to pick up some files that were opened on the table, she started closing them and piling them up together.

"I do not mean to pry but what happened, I am not going to force you to tell me okay... if it is too personal, you can just say it is personal and I would not ask you about it again" she said.

'i knew it, my guts are always right... in as much as she cared for me, she must have been worried as well, I mean who would receive such a message with out getting worried _ I was such a fool' Luca cursed him self as he rubbed his hands on his forehead.

He had no idea that she was silently watching him and then he heard her speak again.

"It is okay, it looks like it is really personal _ I was just worried so I felt like asking, I mean it is not a bad thing to ask, right?" She asked as she turned around and walked towards the water can, she placed a two glass cups and press out chilled water in to them, then she carried it back to where she was standing.

"Take, have this" she said as she handed a glass of water to Luca and when he took it from her, she gulped her down..

Luca took the water from her, he stared in to the water and then he got lost in his thoughts.

"Jessica lost her job" he blurted out and them she almost choked on the water she was drinking.

Holding the glass down, she stared at him but them it was not the look of been pitiful "how is it possible, I mean how did that happen?" She asked curiously because no one had ever thought that she would loose her job.

Jessica was a nice girl, who loved her job, she was never disrespectful to her superiors but then she wondered how she eventually lost her job.
