Answer

Bobby's pov.

Imagine sitting in a place which happens to be the least of places you really wanted  to be at that moment? Sitting around bunch of people you have no idea who they are, reporters flashing camera from different angle at us, like we are holding a kind of conference. After taking our seat, the reporters evacuate the room with the bodyguards, leaving only the four of us alone. I guessed everything must have been planned before they even informed me about this silly meeting. A man which I assumed to be in his early forties was sitting across the table, with a girl with an heart melting face, an exquisite face no man could stare at without falling on his knees, and found himself lost forever while staring into her golden eyes ball, I secretly steal a glance at her for a few seconds. But still,  maybe i'm an exception from those guys that's gonna fall in love with her at first sight, because i don't feel attracted to her at all,  which i find strange.

" Bobby, this is Mr Harry, and her daughter, Amelia" My dad voice jolted me back to life, he was holding a glass of  wine, "Ohh," I whispered, standing up immediately, I bowed down a little and Muttered "Thank you" I'm with a fake smile, he held up his hand to me and i shake it without hesitation .

" Meet my daughter Amelia" he said proudly, my eyes move slowly towards the Elegant figure that was sitting g beside him, even though have secretly check her out before, the feeling of staring directly into her face, as she do the same sent burning sensation down my abdomen, for a few seconds i nearly lost my mind while staring into her golden eyeballs, and yes, is not an understatement, if I say lost at second sight, because am lost right now.

" Bobby, are you okay," her angelic voice tossed me out of my reverie, her hand stretched forward, awaiting mine to come in unity with it. I cleared my throat, not knowing what to do. I felt so ashamed of what I just did, I shook her hand swiftly and then I returned back to my seat abruptly.  My father muttered something under his breath immediately I returned back to his side. His voice is not that clear but I am sure that he is nagging.

"I think we should just get straight to the main reason why we are here today," Mr Harry opened up the discussion, my frantic eyes mistakenly landed on Amelia, who was also staring at me without even blinking not even even when our eyes met, she flashed me a smile and I shyly looked towards her father.

He sneezed, " pardon my manners" He shot my father a look I don't get.

" Okay, if you two don't mind us wasting your time, may I proceed?" It doesn't sound like a question to me, Only Amelia muttered '' Yes, sir" as for me, I just stayed mute, eagerly awaiting him to land, so as to confirm my assumption.

" Amelia, sorry for bringing this up without giving you a hint beforehand," he hummed, and then faced us again.

" Do you have a girlfriend, or someone you love?" He asked all of a sudden, my eyes widened as I realised the question was directed to me. From the corner of my eyes, Amelia blinked, her eyes filled with confusion. I gazed at my side, looking at my dad  in confusion. Even though I already sense something like this will happen, but, why this kind of a question all of a sudden?. I opened my mouth to say something, but my mouth was just wide open, not a single sound was heard. Every eye is now on me, waiting for my reply, even Amelia that doesn't understand where this discussion is heading to has now engrossed her Golden eyes on my face. Eagerly waiting for my answer, besides it is very easy to guess what the two parties are driving at, at this junction.

But wait, do I really have someone I love? I'm yet to understand what I feel for Melissa, can I just assume that I love her?

You have to say something Bobby, unless you wanted your father to suspect you are hiding something from him, I thought silently, hitting my lips in the process,.

" No, I am not seeing anybody for now," the words move out on their own. Amelia's father's creased forehead relaxed immediately, he slowly leaned backward and moved his hand away from the table.

Amelia 's expression doesn't seem like she was happy or sad. Her face was bleak, making it hard to guess what might be going through her mind right now.

" Amelia, same question goes to you" his voice comes again, while I am still pulling myself together from the sudden shock I experienced just now. Only Mr Harry us doing the questioning, The person I called Dad just kept voiceless, without saying anything. I slowly raised my head, my eyes moving towards Amelia 's confused face. She looked lost and she didn't even bother to hide it, very  glaring. Anyway it is not like I expect a girl like her to be able to hide her emotion perfectly.

I prayed silently, for her to say the opposite of what I said, at least this could be a delay for a contract marriage like this, if one of the party didn't feel good about it.

" Amelia" her father called, his voice sounds furious.

" Let her say her mind, is not like this is necessary in the first place," I heard my father's voice. Her head was bowed a little, eyes fixed on the crimson tiles, she didn't make a sound, neither did it look like she was going to say a word. I sighed, trying to hide my anger. If they really care about our happiness, why don't they allow us to choose someone we won't regret choosing later? Or, are we just a tools to be used for their stupid deals? I clenched my hand into fist, holding my trouser firmly under the table cover. If not because of what's holding me back, I would think twice, before storming out of this place. I just want to leave this place as soon as possible, not because of anything, but because I wanted to stare at her eyes again, and stayed by her side, if I was allowed to do so. Melissa is the only thing that made sense to me right now. Maybe, my life also depends on Amelia's answer.

" I love someone," her voice sounded very far, like it takes a lot of boldness to finally say it.
