Melissa's pov

Immediately Draven pulled up, I alighted from the car, pulling down the gown that stuck to my body, so as not to prevent me from moving comfortably. I watched Melanie as she did the same, followed by Draven. I sighed.

" Melissa," Melanie called all of a sudden, I darted my eyes to her side, watching her closely as she walked towards me. From the corner of my eyes, after locking the car, Draven tossed the car key into his pocket, and then turned around, striding towards us as well.

" What's it?" I asked, still looking at her stoic face. I expected her to laugh or chuckle at my question but I was disappointed because she did not do any of it. She maintained the straight face.

" What's it? Are you really asking me that?" Her voice sounded like someone that wanted to say something but quickly decided to change the topic at the last secs, I rolled my eyes at her.

" Anything you have to say to me?" I asked warily, she flinched a little, I guessed she didn't expect me to ask her that, out of the blue.

" Okay, you got me, " she hesitated for a few seconds, then proceeded"The thing is that....someo....

"You can easily talk about whatever you want to discuss later, if you don't mind, can we just proceed with the main reason that brought us here?" Draven interrupted, His voice was Husky but calm at the same time. The two of us turned at the same time to glance at him, He was resting on his yellow car, legs crossed, and all his attention was on us, he must have been eavesdropping how little conversation all along. The first thing my eyes landed on was his bare chest, he must have decided to unbuttoned a few button from his shirt, because this was not how he looked before we leave the mansion,  I coughed and quickly look down immediately he noticed what I was staring at. Melanie also cleared her throat, make some funny sounds before storming past me, and I used the opportunity to hide behind her back, just because I don't want to see Draven's face, he chuckled silently , after some seconds I can hear the sound of his footsteps behind my back and that only made me to increase my pace, so as to catch up with Melanie

I can feel my forehead creased as I step into the cold reception, Draven held the door for the two of us to enter and then proceeded to join us. Unlike the previous day, the waiting room was filled with different kinds of people, each of them are either discussing something with the nurse, or just sitting still, lost in their own reverie. My eyes flickered around the room, moving frantically like I was hoping to see someone I knew. Funnily, I didn't even realised have stopped walking, not until I felt a hand around my wrist, and then drag me towards the hospital hallway, before I could even protest.

" Did you lose your mind again?" Melanie complained, when we are no longer in the reception, Draven just stays on a spot watching me closely, and stay muted without saying a word.

" I'm sorry," I stuttered, not knowing the perfect words to reply to her, she didn't say anything, just a heavy breath, nudged my wrist a little before dragging me towards the ward.  My head is blank now, the small happiness left in me must have dissolved away immediately I stepped into the hospital reception. I'm not like this before we reached here, am I? I screamed in my head, asking no one. My eyes are dazed, confused about everything. Meeting my dad in his unconscious state? Or Because I am planning to tell my mother to let him go, so that he will be free from this pain? Asking myself questions no one can answer for me, and I on the other hand don't even have any idea of what I am asking.

A nurse passed by us with a box in her hand, I came back to my sense instantly as the iron smell hit my nose. I grimaced as I realised that it was blood. I abruptly jerked my hand from Melanie and bowed a little, my right hand covering my mouth, my body was starting to react to it again, I started to feel nausea and feel like vomiting.

"What's it Melissa?" Melanie rushed to my side, trying to raise my head to face her, I jerked her hand away abruptly, still managing to hold up. Draven that was walking behind us rushed to my side. Fortunately, he easily gets why I am being like this. Since this deja vu situation happened yesterday, he patted my back continuously, and helped me to move forward with the support of his other hand, away from the spot.

Gradually the smell subsided and I don't find it hard to raise my head up again.

"You know your condition, you should have covered your nose when coming here, it is not like you can elude this kind of thing from happening" Draven muttered in a concerned tone.

" I'm sorry," that's the only word I managed to say, Melanie did not say anything but her eyes were still fixed on me.

" Hope you are fine now?" She asked speculatively, curiosity was clearly written on her face.

" I'm fine now," I faked a smile, and she nodded. Draven helped me to my feet, his hand wrapped around my waist in support of my body, and to prevent me from marching on my toes. I don't complain or decline, on a normal day, l I would never allow that, but I am in no place to object to his help. We move slowly towards the ward, Melanie has to slow down in order to stay by my side. At last we reached my father's ward, my hand trembling on it's own as I stared at the name pasting on the brown door. Melanie noticed and stretched her hand to opened the the door for us, I pushed Draven a little, gesturing him to release me, my mom won't be happy seeing me like this also..

Melanie phone rand, and she abruptly moved away her hand from the door knob, shoved her hand inside her jean before placing the phone on her ear.

She opened her mouth wide, instead of saying something to the person on the other side.

" Are you okay.....

" Melanie, am here" The voice have Been dying to hear was heard from our back.
