“Answer me, Mia!” Bryan shouted at me.

I flinched at his sudden raise in voice.

“Answer me! Did you talk to your dad after coming here?” He asked again.

“I don’t know what you are talking about or what do you mean.” I lied looking away.

“You can’t even meet my eyes and you are saying that you don’t know what I am talking about!” He said glaring at me.

I can sense the draggers he is throwing at me with his eyes.

“Did you talk to my dad?” I asked me all my courage.

“Yes, your dad called me and he said to be quoted that he knows you are being pampered here as compared to a maid that you were supposed to be. Now, tell me how does he know that?” He asked glaring at me.

My eyes became wide in shock.

“What?!” I asked in shock.

“When did you talk to him? And what did you talk to him about?” He asked.

“I…I didn’t talk to him.” I lied.
