Chapter 57

“Please, drink this.” I said as I offered a glass of water to Mrs Green.

“Thank you, dear.” She thanked me and took the glass.

She took few sips and sighed deeply.

She has finally calmed down after crying her heart out. I guess past traumas are hard to heal even after years.

“I am sorry for breaking down like that.” She apologised looking down.

“It's ok. I understand how it feels like. You don’t need to apologise to me. If we are going to apologise for such things then I will be apologising every day because I break down in front of you multiple times daily.” I said taking the glass from her.

“Still. I was supposed to give you emotional support not the other way around.” She said still looking down.

“No! We are supposed to support each other. There is no age barrier in this regard.” I said as I held her hand.

She looked up to meet my eyes and smiled faintly.

“Have you calmed down?” I asked her.

“Yes.” She said nodding her head.
