How does he know this thing? It’s not something that a lot of people know about plus it was only mom who was so particular about keeping me away from roses. How does he know about this? How much he know about me and my family?

“When did you stop being afraid of roses?” He asked me curiously.

“Maybe after my mom died. Or maybe before that only, I don’t even know if I even had a phobia of roses. It was only mom who used to keep me away from this beautiful flower.” I said shrugging my shoulders.

“I can’t believe it. I thought you are still afraid of roses. And I can understand after what happened that day. It would put fear in any toddler.” He said nodding.

“What happened that day? What day are you talking about?” I asked confused.

“The day you crawled in the bush of roses in the rose garden to hide while playing hide and seek. You don’t remember?” He asked surprised.

“I don’t. I don’t even know about this incident, no one ever mentioned this to me.” I said in shock.
