Chapter 120

I woke up to the door opening.

“Miss Mia, did you fall asleep?” Mrs Nixon asked me.

I nodded my head, rubbing my eyes.

“But, why are you sleeping on the floor? I thought you passed out.” She said with concern clearly visible on her face.

I must have fallen asleep while crying.

“I was sitting on the floor and I don’t know when I fell asleep.” I lied to her.

“Were you crying? Your eyes are swollen.” She pointed out.

“No.” I lied to her.

“You must be missing Mr Liam. That’s why you cried.” She said.

I didn’t say anything and looked down.

“Don’t worry. Everything will be fine once you are able to escape from the wedding.” She said.

I nodded my head.
