Beyond Your Eyes

There is an old classic saying, in which our eyes are the window to our soul. Our deepest fears and desires hide within them. For Celeste D’Angelo, she is someone others would consider to be very blessed. As the only child to a vastly wealthy family whose power and influence knows no bounds, nothing stands in her way. With her serene personality she adored by her friends and is even considered among her peers as a glamorous classic doll. But despite that, internally Celeste has her own struggles, desires, and fears that if someone paid just a little more attention - they might mock and be cruel to her. On the surface nothing fazes or bothers her, but as one gets deeper and deeper into her skin a different story is told. Dean Cortez is a man who is a human hurricane. Also hailing from a wealthy family, Dean takes life by the reins and drives off leaving a disaster in his wake. Crass and wild, much like a wild mustang, he is a force that can’t be stopped. For Dean he indulges in doing whatever, whoever, and whenever. Embodying everything people expect from a rich kid especially one of equal status to the Cortez Family. But everyone has secrets, and though everyone gets close to him, no one sees the secrets he hides beyond his eyes and deep in his heart. Through some circumstances the pair end up together, and while they are vastly different from one another, their defining traits perfectly balance them out like Yin and Yang. Follow along to see how they navigate their mid-twenties, familial and societal pressures, the secrets they carry, and their growing affection for one another. authors note: This is my first kind of slice of life novel! Chapter 141 - Wanting It Again

Seeing his muscles flex from his sheer force to push my car made my stomach twist in desire. Seeing him work on my car was another level of attraction I did not expect but boy did it make me sweat.

His parents led me to his garage from the inside of the house and for the first time, I saw what his space looked like. I knew Dean was a car guy for many years and he has mentioned his workspace before but I have never actually seen the extent of it.

This garage looked like a professional one. It was decked out in really cool spray paint designs that Dean must have made himself. The art style was much like the work he would submit during our art classes in high school. On the technical side of things, there were many tools and tool carts around the area. There was even a section for what I assume to be painting a car as it had clear plastic and was more isolated. Off to the side were rows of Deans collectible vehicles. Clearly marking the ones he restored. As for what I assume to be his current project, it was hidden under a sheet.

Dean already managed to settle my car inside and he popped open the hood. Since he just got back home he was initially wearing a pressed button up long sleeve shirt but he removed it to not get it stained. So now he was wearing was a white tank undershirt.

He exuded a new level of handsomeness I was not aware he could offer. Everything about him in that moment was appealing. I prayed nothing about me was giving away my thoughts.

It seemed his parents were fully aware of his sleeves of tattoos as they did not react to his body. "Honestly it is times like these where I am grateful you learned a trade skill." His dad spoke up as Dean got to work on the car.

He had a light hanging on the hood lid which illuminated the interior of the car. "Looks like your spark plugs have gone bad. Let me see if I have any here and I can change them out." He grabbed a free cart and began to get all the tools he needed. Everything was organized and it was obvious he spent his free time here. He knew where everything was.

It did not take him long to find some spark plugs and after cross referencing them to my defective ones he got to work.

If he had never worked on my model of car before, he showed no signs of hesitation. He began unscrewing and maneuvering parts in the car to access the plugs. I thought cars were like people, different in some type of way despite having a similar build. But despite those differences some things remain.

I am not sure when his parents left but after some time I realized we were alone in the garage. He continued working but I did not mind not having a conversation. It was wonderful to watch him work. His face was fully focused and serious. I was entranced to the point that I did not feel the time passing.

"Just about wrapping up. Lets see if it turns on." He startled me with suddenly speaking up. He had worked on the car for at least and hour. I got up next to my car and handed Dean the keys. He left the hood of my car open and left momentarily to test the engine. And thankfully it roared to life. "Wow!" Not even a few moments ago it was dead but with a simple switch of some cords, it came alive again.

"Thank you so much!" Dean turned off my car and returned to the place I was in. Out of habit from my family, I turned to him and gave him a hug. I froze a bit from my realization of what I was doing but he took it in stride and after wiping his hands down with a rag he patted my head with one hand while the other wrapped around my shoulders giving me a tight squeeze.

"Thankfully the plugs your car takes I had here. Would have sucked otherwise. Though I am surprised they went out, your car seems fairly new. Do you drive this car often?" I tried to recall the last time I drive this car and it was before Rachel and Alans wedding for sure. But even if I don't drive it, others in the house will like my mom or dad.

While technically the vehicles are mine, because I don't drive on my own very often, they will take my cars and use them. I guess it helps for the cars to be used rather than have it sit. But maybe this one sat for too long.

"Well, regardless of when, at least you can get to and from places safely. I checked the rest of the parts while I was in there and everything looked good." He shut the hood down and gave me my keys.

After looking around to ensure his parents did leave and were not hidden somewhere I gave Dean a big kiss. "Consider this a token of my gratitude. Thank you for not only fixing my car but also, looking good while doing it."

I could hardly believe the words coming out of my own mouth but my actions were three steps ahead of my thoughts. I felt the blush creep up from my neck to my ears but I held onto his gaze firmly. I could not back down at this point anymore.

Deans dimpled smile came out and he cupped my face in his palms. "You just want to leave me in agony huh." He pressed his body against mine and I felt what he was referring to. The blush I already had deepened.

I was at a loss for words but his backed up to give me some space. But before he did, he leaned into my neck to whisper in my ear. "I am looking forward to our time in France. December cannot come soon enough."

I punched the side of his arm but truthfully, I was also excited. Since the night of our friends wedding, we never took it that far again. The intimacy we shared was akin to those growing a relationship. But after having been to that stage with him, I found myself wanting it again.
