In the past month, I massively increased my research. Gathering a few dozen subjects, a sixth was transformed into full potential Humans, half were used in order for me to test my control in different areas, while the rest were separated into diverse more specific experimentation.

They were… very good, incredible even. Some developed strange abilities, like one person that had modified body hair that allowed them to stick to surfaces, like a spider. Others had an immense visual light spectrum, making them see infrared and ultraviolet.

The craziest one was a person that developed high control over his muscles. His control was so high that he could change their shape and composition, within a certain limit of course.

Overall, I say that the human maximum limit is on par with the Pillar men. But… The Pillar men always sought perfection, they did it as such for hundreds of thousands of years before the humans even knew how to make fire. They kept "evolving" greatly increasing their overall potential.

If humans were to do the same, with the help of the masks, they would likely end up similar to the Pillar men. One race living in the dark, and one in the light.

My research also explained what VE actually was.

I once said that Hamon was the awakened version of Lifeforce, a strange energy that dwells in all living beings with the exception of the Pillar men and Vampires. Since both energies repelled each other.

What if I told you, VE was the same as Hamon? A form of energy derived from lifeforce?

That's right, all of the research points towards this fact, and I found proof with the experiment a month ago.

So pretty much, all forms of life have this Lifeforce inside of them, it's just that Hamon and VE are just two different forms of it.

Hamon is created by stimulating LE in a special way. How? Breathing exercises.

VE is created by stimulating the brain, the way you do it doesn't really matter.

To transform a mummy into a vampire, it's necessary to introduce some of the energies inside of it first. Normally VE since it's an energy much closer to biological functions than Hamon.

What about perfect Kars? Simple. In order to become the perfect being, someone has to balance his own energy with the other one, ending in a perfect fusion between the two. He had an overwhelming amount of VE inside of him, so he needed to get a similarly overwhelming amount of Hamon. But how? The answer was the miracle of nature, an Aja stone.

But small Aja stones weren't enough to power this transformation, only allowing his brain to unlock some of its special abilities. That was what the Three Pillar men used to get that powerful.

Kars looked for the perfect Aja, a stone that could greatly channel the power of the sun and transform it into Hamon.

He eventually got one. Becoming the perfect being. By the fusion of the two variations of LE. But what did they fuse into? I don't know exactly. But I believe it was a higher form of LE, a direct evolution you could say.

That's why Kars became "perfect", he fused his Vampire energy with Hamon achieving a higher grade of Lifeforce.

All of this was possible due to his brain and the Aja stone. Nature can create some pretty crazy stuff.

After delving into human experimentation I decided to extend a hand into testing animals as well.

Animals actually have much more potential than Humans, perhaps because their entire existence is based around the strong passing down their genes to the next generation.

(Strong as in more adapted)

I tried using the mask on animals but it didn't work as intended, every time I used the mask with the stone, the animal just became this "goop" of self-replicating cells.

It's relatively dangerous if left alone, but it's really easy to dispose of. Just burn it into smithers.

I will need more time to properly research what is going on. Perhaps it has to do with the animals' low intelligence? Or could it be something more spiritual?

I should test it on more intelligent animals next week.

I took out my goggles and looked at my lab. It was truly high-tech. All of the techs here was at least 50 years ahead of its time. It took me a lot of time to achieve this.

It took me a few years to properly set myself in this world's technological progress. I had to revise all of my knowledge in order to see what worked and what didn't work.

I looked towards a very specific machine. Inside it was a relatively big helmet, it was connected to multiple cables and tubes. It was none other than my mask, made perfectly for me, in order to awaken my hidden potential. It was half done though.

Caesar is still training non-stop, but he likes to goof around women from time to time… I wouldn't be surprised if a woman appeared with a child one of these days.

Lisa Lisa finally decided to pass the protection of the stone to me, so I don't have to keep switching between the stone and its replica.
