Hurt

Roxus grabbed Lucifer's hand. 

In front of them, a painting of white scenery was displayed in the centre of a room. A figure stood in the middle of a vast expanse of snow. The long red hair fluttered in the cold wind. The sky was a bright grey, and the black trunks of pine trees in the distance looked so sharp. 

Lucifer stared at the painting for a long time before turning to Roxus, who was also looking at him. 

The woman smiled gently. "Should I ask Cece to return this painting to me? If you like it I'll give it to you." 

"Hmm," Lucifer looked back at the painting. "In the first place, why did you give it to Queen Cecilia?" he asked. 

Thanks to Lucifer not looking directly into her face, he didn't notice the trembling gaze that Roxus gave him. A split second felt like an eternity, and Roxus quickly grinned. "Because Cece likes it. Didn't I tell you?"
