Promises. Dinner. A Glimpse For Elijah.

Klaus Mikaelson took Caroline Forbes to show around the streets of New Orleans.

"I cannot believe your brother!" Hayley sat down in front of the TV, holding a cup of tea.

"I know.." Rebekah changed the channel. "No one can."

"Has he ever taken you to dinner?" She asked.

"In a thousand years?" Rebekah turned towards her, "Twice."

She held up two fingers. She put the remote down.

"It's good though." Rebekah told Hayley, "That Caroline came…..Klaus would at least stop daggering the rest of us."

"How do you know?" Hayley asked.

"Love is a vampire's greatest weakness." Rebekah looked at her, "And I think Nik has found his love."

She stopped.

"And I wonder how different he would be…." Rebekah bit her lip. "Nik hasn't been crazy about anyone like he is about Caroline in a long long time."

"He wasn't like he usually is?" Hayley asked.

"No.." Rebekah shook her head, and smiled as she remembered a nicer Klaus. "I remember this sweet boy who loved art and music...he was my favorite brother."

Hayley looked as if she couldn't believe it.

"Caroline being here can change things." Rebekah told her, "I know they will…."

"But Caroline is not here permanently." Hayley told her, "She'll leave in a week or something…...and it's not like she's in love with Klaus."

"Nik has always got everything and everyone he wanted." Rebekah snorted. "Klaus is in love with Caroline. If he wants Caroline….He'll find a way to charm her."

Hayley still looked doubtful.

"Klaus is incapable of love, Rebekah."

"Maybe…" Rebekah turned off the TV, "But he has been impatient since Caroline told him she would come." She pointed out. "His eyes say it all…..they haven't sparkled like that for anyone in centuries, Hayley...Centuries!"

"Caroline will never fall in love with Klaus." Hayley told her.

"Want to bet?" Rebekah sat up straighter. "Just the fact that Caroline came to see him gives me the advantage."

"A bet it is!" Hayley shook her hand.

"I get to name her if I win." Rebekah told her.

"Fine…" Hayley told her, "You have to babysit every week for eternity!"

"Deal!"

Rebekah turned on the TV again, and they were quiet.

They didn't talk till Klaus and Caroline came back. The door crashed open.

They heard Caroline laugh. Both Rebekah and Hayley stood up.

"Shhh!" Klaus hissed, "Hayley must be sleeping!"

He was holding a bottle in his hands, she took it, and took a big gulp. Caroline came towards Hayley.

"Shhhh!" She told Hayley. "Hayley must be sleeping!"

"Are you drunk?" Rebekah took the bottle that was now in Klaus's hands.

"Am I drunk?" He looked at Caroline.

"I don't think so." Caroline answered. She started to laugh. She stopped. "Am I….drunk?"

"Oh My God!" Hayley took a step back. "They are hammered."

"What the hell happened at that dinner?" Rebekah asked.

Caroline whispered to her, "Nothing….nothing happened."

"Shh!" Klaus told her, "Hayley's sleeping!"

"I'll take Nik." Rebekah told Hayley, "You take her."

Hayley nodded. She smiled at how concerned he was about Hayley. Maybe, he cared about her, deep in the hearts of his heart.

Caroline Forbes woke up, she didn't remember much of the night. She had fallen asleep in the clothes she was wearing. She did remember landing in New Orleans and coming to the Mikaelson Compound, going to dinner. Things after that were much blurry.

She took a shower, and came downstairs. She found Hayley sitting in the kitchen, eating breakfast.

"Uh...Hello?" She said, uncertainly.

"Look who's up!" Hayley smiled, a grin on her face.

"Can you? I mean….." Caroline stopped, "Do you know what happened last night?"

"You were really hammered, weren't you?"

Hayley laughed.

Caroline smiled, sheepishly.

"I don't know what got into me!"

"A couple of hours with Klaus Mikaelson." Hayley told her, "Obviously, you needed alcohol."

"He's not that bad to hang out with." Caroline smiled.

She took a seat in front of Hayley.

"Really?"

"Yes."

Hayley was thinking something.

"Hey, what are you doing today, Caroline?" She asked.

"Nothing...I guess." Caroline replied.

"How would you like to come to the witch's Cauldron with me?"

"Sure." Caroline told her, "But what do you want from a witch?"

She asked.

"My family is cursed to turn humans on only the full moon!"

"WHAT?" Caroline almost fell down from the chair.

"And I am going to find a witch to undo the curse." She told Caroline. "I just need you to come with me into the quarter."

"Is this something to do with what happened yesterday?" Caroline asked.

"So you remember that?" Hayley snickered.

Caroline threw the table mat at her.

They started to laugh.

"Okay…I need some coffee before that." She told Hayley.

Caroline made a pot of coffee. Hayley went to change. After thirty minutes, Caroline and Hayley were walking outside of the house.

Elijah Mikaelson saw her go out, he looked at Caroline. All he could see was a blonde woman walking out with Hayley. He knew it wasn't Rebekah.

Then who was it?

"Have you seen Caroline?" Klaus asked him, interrupting his thoughts.

"Who?"

"Caroline!" Klaus repeated impatiently, "She came here last night."

"Blonde, about this tall." Elijah gestured with his hand. "Casually dressed?"

"I suppose yes…" Klaus told him. "Only you wear a suit all the time!"

"I think she went into town with Hayley."

"What the hell is Hayley thinking going into town!" Klaus said sharply.

"I don't know."

"Wolf lives are not safe in town!"

"Maybe that's why she went with Caroline!" Elijah Mikaelson offered an explanation.

"I suppose…" Klaus slummed down in a chair.

He scowled.

"Why are you upset?" Elijah looked at Klaus's expressions.

"I am not upset!"

Klaus told him,

"Why the hell would I be upset?"

"Because you like her." Elijah simply smiled, picking up a glass from the table. And moved out.

Klaus didn't answer, and he took that as a yes.

Elijah was intrigued. Who was this girl? Where did she come from? What the hell was she doing with Klaus Mikaelson?

He intended to ask her that when she came back with Hayley.
