She took a deep breath, as if gathering strength to speak to him, and turned to face the man behind her.
"Do you really need to do this? Do you have to hurt her?" Her voice trembled, as if she were holding back her anger with all her might.
With a flat expression and tone, Cassius replied, "She wouldn't move when I told her to. I just gripped her shoulder a bit to make her step aside."
Ellie's mouth opened, but she couldn't find any words to say.
Her emotions were already drained today; she no longer wanted to deal with the stubborn man in front of her.
"I beg you, Cassius, go home. I don't want to see your face right now. My mind is overwhelmed today, please don't add to it. I'm tired."
Ellie turned her body, facing away from Cassius and grabbing the door handle, about to open it.
