With Brianna gone, Daphne had taken the place of a motherly figure in her life. She had just bulldozered her way in and when she left with a disappointed look, not turning back, even once, it hurt.
It hurt physically, it hurt mentally, it just hurt everywhere.
Gavin had locked the door again, leaving her inside the room, still standing and staring at the door. It was not going to open anytime soon, and by the way that Daphne left, she was not coming in anytime soon too.
She sighed before slipping down on the bed, letting her legs dangle at the edge as she stared at the ceiling. Her vision grew blurry as the tears started to dump in her eyes.

Daphne was strong enough to even question her son when it came to those bruises.
