"I've always wanted to ask that," David's mother spoke up. "But what do you actually do for a living? David said you work from home?"
Oh no! Dawid had hoped that his mother would not be so bold as to question her important guest about private matters, but her curiosity won out.
"I do assignments for a certain publishing house," Meiden nonchalantly explained. David almost choked on his soup. However, no one paid any attention to him, everyone was so busy with the ongoing conversation.
"Oh my, really? I love books!" Sure you love books, especially those written by your guest. But seriously, this conversation was starting to get a little dangerous. David felt like he was sitting on pins.
"Really? Me too. I do translations between Polish and Norwegian. Sometimes between English and Norwegian, too."
"Oh! Did you translate some famous names?"
Oy, oy, this was getting REALLY dangerous. What if Gustav won out and said he was Sigurd Gustavson?
