Chapter 4: Arrival at Elburgh

They just entered the gate within Elburgh, and the signage fell as he read on it. "So, this is Elburgh," Luka says.

Maybe because it is winter that the atmosphere in Elburgh is cold and that a thick layer of mist is covering the place. "Elburgh means 'mist' in the old language of Jarsen." He recalled the information he read about Elburgh during his last days in Gundelloire.

He wasn't expecting some people living in this deserted place. The land vegetation of Elburgh isn't as good as the rest of Järsen territory. With that, merchant and nobles gave up investing their time and money in Elburgh, so it is a mystery and a question as to why few people chose to inhabit this place — of all possible places there could be, why Elburgh?

The people of Elburgh looked at Luka with curiosity. Did they recognize Luka at all? Perhaps not as he is not known to people in Gundelloire as well. He just sighed and closed the window in the carriage, waiting for their arrival in the palace.

The bricks on every roads have long been eroded and so there are always bumps on the ride. Luka thought that he could not reach the palace as he seems to be risking his life just to get there. Even the coachman, the one that's driving the carriage had simillar thought as him. Even so, they still reached the palace — safe and sound.

Though, Luka had a little nausea after that.
