Chapter Twenty ..you made a fool out of me

Once Meredith left the office in anger ,Jakes angrily pushed everything on his table away ."Argh !! "He hit both hands hard on his table and this made Renata quickly rush into the office .

"Is anything the matter ?" She asked looking concerned .

"Get out ! I just want to be left alone .Just get out ...! " Renata quickly got out , seeing how Jakes had become furious ,she feared he might hurt her . Jakes had an uncontrollable anger that for years no one has been able to stop him whenever he was angry .

He continuously hit his hands against the table till the table cracked and broke down.

The glass pieces slit into both hands and they were both covered up in blood .Out of anger ,he grabbed a bottle of whiskey from his mini bar in the office but just when he was about drinking ,a hand held the glass ."How long will you drink to cover up your mistakes ,sir ?

How long will you destroy everything in your office to make you right , sir ?

How long will your poor hands bleed and pass through pain because of your cowardice nature ,sir ?

Tell me how long ? " Eloise asked with her furious state .Her bubbly voice now contained pain that reflected in her bright almond eyes and on her reddish face . "Eloise ...!" Jakes helplessly called out to her name .

"Sir ,please it's Miss Jenkins !"Eloise still stood firm on her professional gestures . "Oh please Eloise ! Stop this whole crap of professional bases !

You know what exists between you and I can never be brushed off with that professional s**t !

Stop this Eloise ,stop hurting me the more! "Jakes crawled to her feet like a baby .

"Sir ,which one is hurting ?! Is it your bleeding hands or your wounded heart ?! "Eloise also bent to his level and asked him .Jakes could only point to his heart which was hurting badly .

"Do you know what's hurting me now sir ? It's my project that you have thrown away like trash on the floor out of your anger .

The project that I worked for through out the night .Seeing how disorganized they are lying here on the floor and some stained with blood is what is hurting .It all feels like loving someone wholeheartedly for twelve years and you find out that , that person never loved or cared about you !

You get to find out that ,that person took you for a fool and when you cried day and night because of him ,he was in the arms of another woman with all the caresses ,kisses and smooch fest that they both drowned themselves into !

That is how these papers look now sir !

Once again after spending so much time and efforts to do something , it's been shattered !

That's what's hurting me right now sir so please ,shift your body away from me so that I can pick up these papers and see what else I can make out of them like the way I'm picking up my broken pieces of heart and seeing what I can make out of them also !"Eloise's indirect words to Jakes was hurting him alot .But Eloise couldn't care about that .

Jakes was bleeding badly on both hands but she pretended not to feel his pain .

She wanted Jakes to feel the pain that she had gone through for all those years she spent loving him only and ended up hurt and being played for a fool !

Jakes grabbed onto her tightly and kept her in his embrace ,begging her not to hate him or else he'd die of the pain he was giving her .

"Sir , please let go of me because this is highly unprofessional for a cooperate organisation like this firm !

If someone comes in here right now and sees you tagged onto me like the way you're doing now ,the person will think that I'm a flirt who is doing everything possible to get you in my bed but that's not the case !

If only you could let go of me so that I can go and continue with my job ,nothing as such will happen ,sir !" Eloise tried pushing Jakes away but he was so strong that she couldn't break off from his clutches that easily .

All over Eloise's new shirt contained Jakes' blood which she tried her best to avoid her gaze .

"Sir !! .."Eloise falsely pushed Jakes away with a slap across his face ."So sorry sir but you forced me to do it .There was no way I was going to allow you tangle with my dignity because that's the only thing I've got now if you take away my self-respect !

I know I'm fired ,you need not tell me !"Eloise stood at the door and remembered that she could only open the door with a swipe card which she didn't have ."Back to square one ..!"Eloise angrily said and grabbed the first aid box from Jakes' lounge to treat him because he was really bleeding heavily ."I knew you couldn't leave me in this state because you still love me Eloise !

Hehe! ...how stupid of me to have let you go ? "Eloise scorned his words bitterly as she dressed his wound .She carefully applied the methylated spirit on his wound but Jakes didn't feel the pain .He could only feel his heart hurt because Eloise's eyes contained tears .

Before Eloise's tears could drop on his wounds ,Jakes caught it with his left index finger .

"Sir ,those that ruin people's lives and trust do not deserve the chance to clean the tears of others !"Eloise passed this onto Jakes and finally bandaged his two hands for him . "But I deserve to clean your tears ,if not today ,it will be tomorrow and if not tomorrow it will be the future and if not the future then I will even clean it in my death !

Because a young spirited girl once told me that everyone is entitled to a second chance !" As soon as Jakes said this ,Eloise recalled the past .

*Hey handsome ,everyone deserves a second chance .

It's because of second chances that God sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to die and clean our sins .

He carried our sins on his head and took away our burdens on the cross of Calvary .

If someone sins against you seventy seven times seven times ,then you can say that the person doesn't deserve a second chance !*
