What kind of servants do you even have in this house ? "Dora expressed her discomfort with the servants and instructed one of them to take her luggage into her room ."Now tell me son , what's going on between you and my granddaughter? "Dora asked , taking a seat with Jakes sitting directly opposite to her ."Mum ,she's really stubborn to begin with " Jakes said and sipped his kiwi juice ."Well ,is that surprising ? Aren't you her father ? Does a crab give birth to a bird ? "Dora also added sounding a bit teasing ."Mum ..! Are you going to tease me like nanny too ?

Anyways ,I admit I'm stubborn but she's very stubborn . It's so difficult to convince her ."Jakes complained one more time ."Is that also surprising ? Isn't Eloise her mother after all ? You know ?

It really does suit you well that you and Eloise gave birth to someone of your kind !

That way you'd understand the trouble you made us pass through bringing you up ."Dora also added ."Mum ,I 'm not sure she will ever accept me as her daddy .

But I won't stop at anything to get her to accept me!

Probably , that's when I will tell her the truth about her identity ." Jakes worriedly said .

*Sir , breakfast is getting cold !*

One of the maidservant told Jakes and to Dora's hearing ."Eat it whatsoever but I've lost my appetite for food!"Jakes refused eating ."But son , you've not eaten anything since morning and I know it because I'm your mother !"Dora said with a concerned face ."Mum ,I will only eat once Mona decides to eat .I will only eat when my daughter decides to come downstairs and eat with me .

Other than that ,I've lost my appetite for food !

Mum ,if you want to help out , then , go to her room and knock some emotions into her !

Accepting this life earlier would be for her own good other than that ,force can be applied if persuasion fails .I'm off .."Jakes picked up his jacket and set off to leave ."But son ,where to ? I just got here and instead of staying back so that we talk ,you are leaving ,is it ? Is this how it's all done ? Have you lost your senses or what ? "Dora reprimanded Jakes ."Jordan !!! Get my car ready ,I'm going out !"Jakes instructed and Jordan run quickly to do as he has been instructed ."You know ? Your ego always stays ahead of you .That ,your daughter has perfectly taken well after you !

I wish Eloise was here to knock some sense into you !"Dora angrily reprimanded her son again ."Mum ,I'm off ."Jakes quickly put on his dark shades ,got into his car and drove off .

At Riddles Construction Firm ,the employees chatted behind Jakes' back in their group page because he wasn't yet in .

"It seems the big boss isn't in yet and that's why the whole company looks less tensed and eco-friendly ."An employee said .

'Hey be careful ! It's the big boss you are talking about here .'Another added .

"Hey shh ! He's here now .Talk of the devil and he appears in day light ."Another employee also said .

"Alright ,drop your phones now and move back to your respective posts ,it seems he's not in a good mood this morning ." An employee texted into the page .

'Ha ! As if he has ever been in a good mood .

Only God knows why he's always in a foul mood .He's too handsome not to share his smile ..!'

The employees sent their individual chats to the company's employees group chat .

As Chairman Riddles walked into the office dressed simply in his crew neck sweatshirt and his dark brown denim jeans with a pair of loafers shoes ,the female employees who had dressed lavishly and worn heavy makeup on their faces began dressing well because no matter how they tried to entice him ,he always ignored them .

He took the elevator to the Chief Executive Officer's quarters without paying attention to any of the employees .

"Good morning Chairman !...Good morning Chairman !!"He ignored the employee's greetings and went straight to his office .

His attitude was nothing new however , today , the employees weren't ready to see red by getting on his nerves .

Just when they thought the tension was calm , Renata ; Jakes' personal assistance entered into his office .His office was well furnished and looked very luxurious .

He had paintings of Eloise and Suzzy all over ."Chairman , you have an appointment with Ample Industries and ..."

"Cancel all of them !"Jakes didn't think twice about his decision .

"But Ch.."Renata tried insisting because the appointment with Ample Industries would be a very big hit for the company ."Are you deaf or should I repeat myself ? "Jakes asked . "Sorry Chairman ,I will take my leave now !"Renata said feeling sad because of Jakes' attitude .However ,she knew it wasn't time to talk about personal things .She might be his friend but now ,he's her boss .

"You should leave because I want to take time to spend with my sweetheart ."Cheryl Scott said from behind ."I will go now Chairman! "Renata painstakingly left after seeing Cheryl's face .

She didn't like Cheryl at all as she compared her to Meredith all the time .

There was no way she was going to allow Cheryl get into Jakes' life .She knew she'd bring nothing better into his life .

Initially ,her co -employees thought Renata had a romantic interest in Jakes but she proved them wrong after she got married to Inno Heavens.

However ,Renata and Inno with Joan's help have not stopped looking for Eloise even after these eighteen years because they believe that Eloise is still alive and she's the only woman who can complete Jakes' lonely life .

"Sweet heart ...!"Cheryl said with her croaky voice . "Get out ..! "Jakes said and continued looking at the framed pictures of Suzzy on his iPad ."But sweet ..." Cheryl continued to pester him with his croaky voice ."I said get out ! I mean now !"Jakes lifted his head and saw Cheryl stand in front of him with her heavy makeup that pissed him off the more .
