Chapter Thirty five ..flight back home

"Son ,I'm coming back home .My flight will land at noon !

Please come along with my granddaughter to welcome me .I miss her alot !

Tell me ,does she look like me ?

Did you tell her she has a beautiful and energetic grandmother like me ? "Dora said anticipated over the phone .She was already dying to see her granddaughter and shower her with love and kisses . Jakes had already sent her numerous pictures of Suzzy but then , she still wanted to see her ."Mum ...!"Jakes' mood lightened up with a smile revealing all his handsome facial features ."Once you come ,we will talk about this alright ? Until then ,safe journey ,love you !"Jakes told his mum ."Love you too son ..!"Dora said over the phone and hanged up the call ."I guess having a motherly feature in your life once again will make you get used to this new life Suzzy .

Don't worry ,I won't stop until you love and accept me as your father my dear "Jakes said to himself while looking at Suzzy's picture on his phone .

After a while ,he decided to go check on her so he headed straight to her door .

Just when he was about to knock ,a hand stopped him ."Let me handle this Jakes , she'd probably listen to me than you ."The woman said ."Nanny , thank goodness you are here ,please make her understand that she needs to move on from her past ."Though Jakes Riddles was publicly rude at times ,he cherished three women in his life and they were Eloise ; his love and wife ,Dora ; his mother and Samantha ; his nanny from childhood till date .

These three women had contributed to making his life look like heaven and now that Suzzy had come into his life ,she had become the fourth extraordinary lady to bring joy into his lonely life . For this reason ,he appreciated them alot ."Jakes calm down ,I will make sure she understands .

A doesn't give birth to a bird .Your daughter took after Eloise's body structure and her ambivalent smile but she took right after you in terms of facial features , stubbornness and anger .I saw how angry she was earlier and it wasn't surprising that you are her father! "Samantha teased him and Jakes developed boundless smiles on his face .

Since his nanny knew the whole story with Suzzy ,he knew that she'd definitely know how to handle Suzzy like he handled him when he was a kid .Due to busy work schedules ,Dora and Peter didn't have much time for Jakes so Samantha made sure to take care of him and make him happy at all times .

Though he's now of age and can take care of himself ,Jakes prefers having her stay at his house .

He sends her to physiotherapy sections and sometimes adult relaxation at rehabilitation centers for her own good .Both Samantha and Jakes are bonded by an inseparable relationship ."Alright son ,go on .I will sort this out .."Samantha assured Jakes .

"Can I come in ? "Samantha knocked and held the door knob and peeped her head through the door .Once Suzzy didn't respond ,she still entered anyways .

Walking past her mini hall ,she moved into her bedroom and saw Suzzy coil herself into a blanket sobbing ."My dear .."Samantha coaxed her ."Calm down ,it will be fine .Shh ! ..."She coaxed her and she fell asleep shortly like a little girl .

"How is she , nanny ? ",Jakes asked Samantha once she got out of Suzzy's room . "Stable .But I'm afraid that .."She hummed on her words for a while ."Nanny , what is it ?"He worriedly asked with all the traces of desperation on his face ."I think your daughter needs time to think over things .You cannot just expect her to accept this heavy burden of you being her father in just thirty minutes .

Jakes ,I raised you like my son as your nanny and I know that you can be a good father .

All the mistakes you made with Eloise shouldn't be something that will reflect in Suzzy's life .

Jakes ,if you want your girl to love you then you should treat her with some sort of security and not like how you treat your employees .

It's not easy searching for your father on the streets and living like them Jakes . Your girl is brave like her mother so I hope you make her feel that she's all you've got to continue living ."Samantha told Jakes ."Will you condemn me now nanny ? Just understand ,I want her to love me for a little if that's all I can get from the hundred percent love that she has for Eloise.

I want her to embrace this new life so that she stays with me .

If I start pampering her now ,she will run like she did from the hospital .Do you remember ? I lost her twice .The first was when Eloise gave birth to her and the second was when she ran away from the hospital !

I can't afford to lose her now ,nanny ,at least not for the third time !"Jakes said ."Alright nanny ,since you know best ,tell me what you suggest I should do ? "Jakes sought for solution from Samantha ."Go and apologize to her .."Samantha suggested and descended the stairs ."What ! Apologize ? "Jakes thought and he felt his heart struck hard like thunder .He was Jakes Riddles after all , his ego wasn't pushing him to apologize for his deeds ."Why should I apologize when she shouted at me ? "Jakes thought ."What good did it do cutting her hair ,huh ? "The voice said and ascended the stairs from behind ."Mum..! "Jakes quickly turned as he recognized his mother's voice ."Mum ,I'm so happy that you are here ."Jakes hugged her tightly ."Mum ,you have no idea about what's going on here and.."Jakes paused ."Samantha called me up and told me everything so you need not tell me how you've messed up with my granddaughter .

I now understand why you both couldn't come and pick me up at the airport ."
