Stadium Construction

"So these are the people who will help me? " Lui asked Bill who nodded. He had gathered 10 workers, 5 builders, 1 architect and 1 local priest from the church of Lump. He knew the priest but who were these other people? Maybe from some other territory.

"Hello Mr. Maguire. My name is Bheem and I am an architect. They are my men. Mr. Bill contacted us regarding construction of a 1000 people stand.I believe you have the design." Bheem introduced himself. Lui shook hands with Bheem as he introduced his people. There was B1, B2.... B5- the five builders and W1..... W10- the ten workers.

Lui showed his design to Bheem who analysed it carefully. After some time, he grinned and said"This is a very good design. It can use some improvements but overall it is perfect. When can we begin the construction? "

"I have asked Bill to order 200 cartloads of wood and 20 cartloads of stone. Few of them have been delivered and the rest will be delivered by the end of this week. " Lui said. "Bill show the workers where the carts are and have them put all the wood in the ground. " He ordered. Bill took the workers and went to the place where the carts where. Meanwhile Lui and Bheem and builders went to a makeshift shack near the construction site(ground) to add some modifications to the original design.

It was a simple rectangular structure which would have 5 rows of seats stacked like stairs. The foundation would be laid in stone and wooden pillars and stairs would be laid out. It was made in mind to hold atleast 1500 people instead of 1000. The middle part of stadium would have a 2 storey long building for VIPs. Lui planned to invite Baron of Lump and Count Lacona to watch the matches and distribute the rewards. Bheem also advised to make a special shack for the teams which would play the matches in the ground itself. Stone towers were used as poles and set equally apart. After the final design was completed, Bheem ordered his builders to start laying the foundation for the stadium.

"What will be its name? " Bheem asked Lui. Lui looked at Bill for suggestions. Bill suggested the name LM Stadium where LM stands for Lump Maguire. Pretty average name but no one had any better names. So it was agreed to name the stadium LM Stadium.

The full construction of stadium will be finished by 2 months. Until that time, Lui put Bill in charge of promoting the tournament. The official tournament would start after 4 months with one day gap between each game day. The rest of the schedule could only be decided after registrations. Lui and Bill came to the conclusion that each team would have 7 players and the match time would be 30 minutes with 5 minute break time.

And with that, Bill started to go from each village to village in Lump, distributing free futballs and handing out registration papers and advertisements. After Lump, Bill was given the task to go to Lacona and also to the Frontera Barony afterwards. Meanwhile, Lui was busy meeting the Count, and the two Barons trying to convince them to attend the matches.

"Come on Orochi. look how much your Barony would profit when this tournament becomes famous." Lui tried to explain the benefits of futball to Orochi. "Ok. I will come to the matches. But if by chance this tournament become famous, what will be your future plans? " Orochi asked Lui.

"A very big tournament. We will build stadiums in every noble land and the biggest one in the capital. Then we will try to have the King distribute the prizes to the winners. Or at least something like that. " Lui said. Orochi was impressed by Lui's fsr sight.
