The Royal Army Arrives

After the Northern Army was defeated Thornir had Lord Stark taken away to the dungeon of Castle Black where he will remain as a Prisoner until this war is over. As for the other soldiers he had them all killed even the ones that surrendered.

A few Lords had managed to escape on horses back to the North but Thornir wasn't worried about something like that since he knows that the North doesn't have that many man to be able to create another army to attack him instead some of them might sue for peace which would be the correct choice.

Thornir didn't treat Lord Stark like any prisoner as he was wasn't tortured nor starved and had a relatively good place to sleep in. Right now Thornir didn't want to take lands from the North since although he has a good sized army he doesn't want to just keep going into the Northern lands.

His original plan was just to take the Wall and destroy the Night's Watch but the involvement of the North complicated things since that means the rest of Westeros knows about the current war at the Wall.

And at this moment things in the Kingdom was somewhat stable and King Baratheon would be eager to fight another war.

A head on battle between the Free Folk and the Royal army would be in favor of the Free Folk because of Thornir and his Clan members but it would end in a ton of losses.

Instead it would be better to wait until the future when a certain event would happen that will allow him to invade the rest of Westeros.

So for now his focus will just be on the wall and he will not invade further into the North. Though some plans tend to change and he had a feeling that soon enough he will have to invade the North.

But leaving those thought's aside he decided to let his army rest since the War could be said to be over.

All he has to do was to negotiate with the North over the Release of Lord Stark making them leave the Night's Watch to die to save their Lord.

No matter what they suggested he only wanted to destroy the Night's Watch and nothing more. If they kept on sweet talking him into trying something else then he will resume the war and will fight rest of the Northern Lords destroying their armies.

20 days had passed since the battle with the Northern army ended and what should have been an easy 20 days with no battle had took a turn since the Royal Army was spotted heading in this direction.

On sea the Royal Fleet was sailing towards Hardhome and would invade the shores were they will attack his city.

While Thornir had confidence in his small Navy he also knew that the Royal Fleet had stronger ship's and better sailors than he did as his people only have a few months of being sailors compared to the Royal Fleet where a lot of them have years under them.

So Thornir had to take half of his army to defend Hardhome while he leaves the other half to defend Castle Black against the invaders.

If at all he wanted to prevent them from attacking him since this would only fuel the rage of the Westeros people at him and encourage more people to join the Royal Army to destroy the Free Folk Kingdom.

But at the same time he won't hold back if they do attack him as he has a duty to uphold and no matter what happens he will uphold it.

It took almost an entire month before the Royal Army showed up. All lined up in front of Castle Black ready to battle.

A messenger from the Royal army had started approaching Castle Black. He was filled with confidence and was ready to fight these savages and retake the wall from them.

Jaime Lannister the Kingslayer was with this army and was not satisfied on being on this campaign since he would not find anyone who could match him.
