Becoming a Mangaka in Another World

Occupation: Mangaka Artist.

Hobbies: Watching Anime, Reading Light Novels, Playing Gacha Games.

"Hmmm~ a mangaka artist, huh?"

A goddess wearing an ethereal gown that appears to be made of shimmering fabric is watching a man who is drawing a manga panel at a maid cafe.

"I admit, I'm interested in this mangaka artist," She says

"Fufufu~ I made up my mind. Ryota Kaneko-san, you will be chosen to be transported to another world." She says with a smile.

She presses the confirm button on the touch-screen system panel. The system asks, "Are you sure you want to send Ryota Kaneko to another world?" with an exclamation mark icon at the end. She presses the "yes" button. Then, a timer countdown starts.

"Initiating. Sending Ryota Kaneko to another world. ETA 62 minutes," The System displays on the screen for the goddess.

1 hour before Ryota gets transported to another world.

The alarm clock rings. It is currently 7 A.M. Ryota wakes up at his desk as he hears his alarm clock ringing. He rubs his eyes and looks at the time. His eyes widen as he immediately stands up from his chair and washes his face, changes his clothes, and grabs a folder that contains the panel of the manga.

"Crap, I have to go and send this to my editor, or else he's gonna scold me again!"

As he sees the bus stop at the bus stop, he steps inside and tries to compose himself by taking slow breaths. He sits down in an empty passenger seat and waits for his destination. While he waits, he receives a phone call from his editor.

"Crap, I have a bad feeling about this." He swallowed his saliva and then answers the call.

"Where the hell are you right now, Kaneko!? You're 21 minutes late! You're supposed to be handling the manga panel today at around 7:30 AM! Why are you still lacking around!"

The editor's tone is very upset with Kaneko's lateness and lack of communication and is likely under a lot of pressure to ensure that the manga panel is completed on time.

"Sir, I'm on my way there! Please relax and take it easy."

"Relax? You expect me to relax?! Kaneko-san, this is the fifth time you've been late in handling the manga panels for me! And you expect me to relax?!" The editor's tone sounds frustrated and angry at his performance of being late.

"Please, Sir! I'm almost there-" A bright light suddenly shines on Ryota's feet. "What the!?" He closed his eyes and covers them with the folder (The folder that contains the manga panel).

After a while, Ryota slowly opens his eyes as the bright light starts to disappear and finds himself in a time-space dimension. "Where am I?" He looks around to see nothing but stars and two moons in the skies.

"Why are there two moons?! Am I dreaming or something?" As he looks around, A control panel screen appears in front of him.

"Hello, Ryota Kaneko-san. My name is System, Please follow this path."

The System lights up a path, "Please, This way."

Ryota then walks along the path that the System lights up. There, he meets a beautiful woman sitting on a time-space throne. She notices Ryota and immediately stands up to approach him.

"It's you! You're a mangaka artist, correct?! Please sign these volumes 1-5 of your manga for me!" she says excitedly as she hands Ryota the manga and a ballpoint pen. Ryota looks confused as he slowly takes the pen and signs the manga.

"Kyaa~ Thank you so much! To tell you the truth, I'm your biggest fan! I always re-read your manga! I really really love the plots and characters, especially the heroine 'Shea,' who acts shy around the protagonist," she says excitedly, while Ryota looks at her speechless as he listens.

"You like my manga...?" he asks in disbelief.

"I do! I super love it!" She says.

Ryota then looks down and smiles at her. "Thank you very much! I'm actually going to send the 6th volume of the manga to my editor but then I suddenly got here. Now my question is.. Who are you?" He looks at her with a confused look.

"Me? My name is Athena. I was the one who is responsible for your sudden summons, So first things first. She bows down in an apologetic manner I am sorry for summoning you without meeting you in your world."

Ryota looks at her speechless then pats her shoulder "What are you saying!? In fact, I'm happy you chose me!"

She then looks up at him. "Eh?"

"I'm happy that you chose me because I can finally be free from that stupid editor of mine!" He says it as if he is both relieved and happy.

"I see. Alright then! Back to the point!" She gets back to her throne and sits down.

"Ryota Kaneko-san, You will be transported to another world. But do not worry, I will give you the affinity of the elements, skills, and special magic especially made by me. So you better find out what that is okay?~"

She points her finger at Ryota. "System, Please guide Ryota-san to safety."

"As you wish." The System became an Ipad and flies to Ryota's hand. He grabs the system and then looks at the goddess.

"Before you send me to another world, Please take this!" He hands Athena the folder (That contains the 6th volume of the manga). She then gets up and approaches Ryota and takes it.

"Thank you, Ryota-san." She then flicks her finger. A bright sphere surrounds Ryota.

"Farewell Ryota-san, May we meet again soon." She smiles as she waves him goodbye.

"Miss Athena! Please look forward to the 7th volume of the manga! I'll make sure to use the volume as the offering!" He then disappears and teleports to another world. She smiles as she looks at the folder.

"Fufufu~ I will look forward to it~ Ryota-san~" She then sits down on her throne and starts reading the 6th volume
