Becoming a Dungeon Core

There will be mistakes as this is my first time writing. Talk - " " Think - [ ] System - ( ) Author thought - [[ ]] Action - * * In a massive world, many times larger than Earth. Is filled with gods, magic, hundreds of intelligent species, dragons, orcs, goblins, and more monsters and beasts. Yet, they all point swords at each other. This world is made up of several massive continents. Most of these continents are on the brink of war or already in war. Yet some continents somehow find peace with each other. But other than that, this world is mostly stable. But that all changes when souls from different times, dimensions, galaxies, and universes, somehow end up in their world, either being summoned to stop some kind of demon king, reincarnated, or transmigrated. These souls change the balance of the world, either for the good or bad, always leaving a mark on history. Though these foreign souls that are not summoned are really rare, maybe 2 come every thousand years, as summoned ones are called by the gods and people during a time of need. But what would happen when a soul comes to this world, with a powerful ability, one that can change the entire balance of the world? Most would expect this type of soul to be a powerful dragon or a newly born god, yet most wouldn't expect the soul to be a small crystal rock the size of a blueberry. This soul will have a tough time growing strong, especially since many more reincarnated, transmigrated, or summoned souls are popping out everywhere. With numerous foreign souls unintentionally traversing through the fissures of space and time into this new world, what prevents foreign entities from following suit? What safeguards are in place to prevent their invasion of the new world?

(<DING > Quest Finished:

Description: Clear the E-rank Goblin Dungeon and consume the dungeon core or subjugate the core

System Reward: + 1 Uncommon Token)

After the red dungeon core introduced itself, Alex got the notification for the finished quest. He was of course very excited as this was his first uncommon token. So he used it right away.

(<DING >

Uncommon Token Used - lv 1 - Death Angel (A Quiet Place))

Alex was shocked by what he had gotten. He knows that this summon he has gotten is very strong and is an excellent hunter.

Now a question popped up in his mind.

Should he release it into the wild? If he sets it free, he can gain a ton of experience by the kills it gains but he knows it will cause massive damage to the ecosystem. And it may be hunted down if people notice something wrong.

Thinking for a second, He summoned it.

Soon enough, A tall back creature covered in thin but impenetrable armor stood before him. From what he can remember about the Death Angels is that their armor can block most firearms, bombs, and even missiles. They're also strong enough to destroy steel and are very fast. Although their weakness is that they are blind, they can't swim, and high-frequency sound can stun them and open up the armor plates on their heads.

[[I search online for info about the Death Angels and this is what I found]]

He also summoned the other knight he had gotten from Elden ring. He almost forgot about his banished knight. With a tall black creature and a new tall knight appearing out of nowhere, Artin was very curious about who they were.

"Trebor at your service" The Knight, named Trebor, knelt and bowed to Alex. Trebor was wearing a full silver-colored armor set that covered his entire body. He was also holding a large shield in one hand with his other hand holding a Greatsword.

Compared to Warren though, Trebor seemed to be a heroic Knight due to the light reflecting off of Trebor's shiny armor, giving out an illusion of some holy aura that surrounded Trebor. Warren was the opposite of Trebor, He had a dark gray with bits of orange color scheme that made him a bit intimidating, and to make matters worse. Warren was covered in dried blood that came from his slain enemies.

*raaaah* The Death Angel however gave out a guttural roar and opened the plates that protected its head. It seems to be overwhelmed by all of the noise that is produced by the forest. Although its intelligence was low, it was partly improved by the system to understand its master basic commands. It heard small muffled voices coming from trees surrounding them but it didn't understand where exactly it came from. However, it just focused on its master and waited for orders.

Artin was surprised to see another Knight pop out of thin air. Although she knew Alex summoned them, she wondered how he did. She felt no magic come from any of his summons whenever they used the skills. Though she felt energy radiate from the ghost, it wasn't mana, it was something different that she never felt before.

As she was going to introduce herself to the silver Knight and examine the black creature, she felt a corrupted mana signature coming from Warren's hand. She didn't know why but her senses told her to back away. It wasn't until Warren opened his hand that she saw what was causing her to feel tense.

It was a demonic core. She was about to yell at Warren to destroy the demonic core but it disappeared, and so did the unnerving feeling that came with it. The only person who noticed Artin's situation was Ethan but he ignored her, thinking that she was probably scared of the Black creature that appeared out of nowhere.

Most people wouldn't even know about demonic magic or know the signature it gives off. But someone like Artin who had learned from a very powerful mage. Knew information that most people don't know. Demonic magic was one of them. Her teacher/grandmother once took her on a quest to find out what was killing the farm animals in a faraway village. It took 2 days of searching but Artin finally found the cause. It was a giant demonic Woodwalker.

Woodwalkers are a type of tree wolf creature, built similarly to Treants but covered in a variety of plants, they are mostly peaceful and act in packs but can act aggressively when the forest/woods they overlook is in danger or when there is another creature that ruins the peace of their home. Woodwalkers hardly feed on creatures, instead, they feed on the ambient mana that is present in their surroundings and energy from the sun, like how normal trees use photosynthesis.

But the Woodwalker Artin found was by itself. It was twice the size of usual Woodwalkers and its body was rotten and falling apart. At first, she thought it was corrupted by dark magic but it wasn't until her grandmother interfered at the start of the battle. Her grandmother bound the Woodwalker with magic chains that had holy magic injected into them, once holy magic was injected into the Woodwalker, its true form was shown.

The rotten bark that covered its body quickly peeled away, showing red flesh covered in black veins underneath the rotten bark. At the top of its head, it had a small single black horn that had a sickening pulsating effect with a dim red light. Her grandmother told her that this Woodwalker was a variant and was called a giant demonic Woodwalker. Her grandmother quickly killed it and stored it away.

Artin doesn't know what her grandmother did with it but after that day, she and her brother were given books and training about demonic creatures and magic.

Anyway back to Alex, he gave the death angel a single command, clear anything that gets in their path. Once given the order, it ran towards the path they were taking and hunted anything that made a noise. Alex only hoped it wouldn't cause too much trouble.

Now that was done, Alex left Warren's body and continued on their path, Artin however was still a bit shaken but continued as if nothing happened.

Nothing happened, they continued walking for a while and they finally found a dirt path that seemed to get some foot traffic so they followed it. As they were walking down the dirt path, his drone detected several human-like figures hiding above the tree lines and following one of the figures that was walking towards them. Alex and his group were still about half an hour away from meeting them so Alex decided to unsummon his Anky, Ethan, and Trebor just in case the other party asked questions about who they were.
