THIRD PERSON POV
Zoey watched as her daughter's face turned to a disappointed one. She wanted to grin but instead she pursed her lips not to.
"So, we like dad huh?" Zoey asked after seeing Alex's eyes well up in tears. Was she that sad to think that her dad left?
Alex pouted looking away from Zoey." I think I do. I love him. I always wanted a dad and now he's here and I like him so much."she said finally breaking into tears.
Zoey felt sad that she was playing with Alex's feelings by not telling her the truth. Roy was still around. But not saying anything and playing along with Alex's assumption helped her know how much Alex felt about Roy.
She seemed okay with him, no, she was more than okay. If she were in her shoes, she would too. It made sense anyway, she was finally seeing her dad for the first time. It was sudden but she didn't seem to mind that her father appeared out of the blues. That shows how desperate she was for him.
