""We get that a lot."" I lied with a straight face, in all honesty, it doesn't matter if I tell the truth to her since the skill would activate and delete her memory about it anyway.
"Why did you guys choose to reveal the fact that we are locked in this tower forever?" Jenna asked.
"So you considered our words fact? You aren't skeptical like the others?" (Eliza)
"No, I'm still skeptical, but Jake told me that you guys met the headless man and asked some question that Jake said he couldn't reveal, but he said that because it concerned the truth of the Tower, I might as well put trust in people who actually know something rather than people who are clueless."
"Well that's an option, you got quite the brain, aren't ya?"(Leonard)
"Of course, my Intelligence stat was 20 when I opened my status after it changed." Jenna spoke with a confident tone.
"Intelligence doesn't equate to wisdom, lass. So why have you decided to trust Jake?" (Eliza)
"He looks sincere, and I just have a feeling that he's someone I can trust with everything."
"That's a lot of trust to put on someone."
"He radiates a feeling that makes me want to protect him."
"Okay then."
We sat down there for a while, waiting for Jake to come back.
"What's the plan when Jake finds the goblin chief and comes back?" Jenna asked, and I replied with a smile, holding a rock in my hand.
"Quite simple, actually, see this rock? It will be the key to our victory."
"How?"
"A secret for later."
Suddenly, I sensed some footsteps a dozen meters away from our current hiding spot, opposite the smoke. I gestured my index finger in front of my mouth to notify Jenna, and she slowed down her breathing.
A group of 3 goblins appeared from behind the bush, seemingly looking for something, likely us since the noise we made was a bit loud for the silent ambiance of the forest. After a while of searching, the three goblins turned their backs on us. I felt there was something off about them, so I sneaked toward Jenna and whispered.
"Shall we dispose of them?" (Eliza)
Jenna nodded her head and signaled to us that she would take out the one behind, Leonard would take out the one in front, and Eliza would take out the one in the middle. Since I'm conserving my energy for emergencies, I don't feel the need to use my abilities now.
The goblins were moving away from us at a moderate speed. At the moment, we were about to jump out of the bush, attempting to ambush them, but they started running toward the source of the smoke, Hamlet.
"Shit, they knew." Jenna said, and her running speed suddenly went up. Using a wooden spear, she pierced a goblin's leg and managed to finish it by sending it to death with a kick that cracked the goblin's head open like a watermelon.
'Holy shit' I thought to myself. I managed to reach those two goblins quite easily, and with a swift thrust to their spine with a spear, they were incapacitated quite quickly. What I didn't consider is that Goblins can scream very loud, and scream the two bastards did. Their scream resonated in the air, piercing my heads and giving me tinnitus. I didn't know why or how they could scream this loud, they didn't do that in floor 1, but I guess this is a floor 2 thing which kind of suck because currently, in front of us, are 2 dozen goblins looking at us with malice in their eyes.
They slowly tread toward us with the sole intent to kill, and the weapons in their hands were nothing more than ours, very sharp primitive tools.
Suddenly I saw Jake, he flew toward us and attempt to pick up a goblin with his claws, He failed, and the surrounding goblins managed to put a spear in him. The injured Jake steered toward us and turned back to his human form with his clothes on, the spears dropped down, and he looks like he wasn't injured at all.
"I found the ch-" Before Jake managed to finish his line, a rock flew toward us, interrupting his words.
We were so distracted by Jake's entrance that we forgot we were in a quite precarious situation.
"RUN" (Eliza)
We ran away from those goblins, with the smoke behind us, as fast as we could. Oh, how the turntable.
We tried to shrug off those goblins, but like in Floor 1 they are very persistent in their pursuit. Knowing I have no option left beside using my trump card that I haven't fully tested.
[Time Stop]
I used the Time Stop, turn myself toward the goblin horde, I opened my inventory and a boulder flew out of it, just stopping before the goblins.
The events happened in 3 seconds, I turned back and stop the Time Stop, a very loud noise pierced my ear, and the four of us flew in the opposite direction from the blast.
I flew like a ragdoll while in the state of extreme exhaustion from the Time Stop.
Recovering from the sheer recoil of the move, I turned back and saw a burning path piercing through the forest.
This is my trump card. I had a few days to find out about my power, and I realized I could change the settings inside my inventory and create different inventories that do different things, like making something go faster inside it, but taking it out of my inventory in that state costs 10 vigors every time. I just couldn't use it like a gun yet.
I also discovered that I could move Leonard within the time stop by coming into contact with Leonard to allow Leonard to move, which I didn't do this time since it drains me faster.
The reason why I could still move my eyes as Leonard inside the time stop is maybe because it didn't affect my consciousness since it belonged to both.
Anyway, Like a wise woman once said,
"You can take care of most things if you drop a big enough rock from a high enough place." (Eliza)
"In this case, the drop direction is horizontal." (Leonard)

You might noticed the reference but maybe you won't since a lot of people doesn't bother reading that Light Novel.
Anyways I got to be imaginative with what I have, here you see why Inventory without limit like that is OP? Authors should really utilized Inventory more than just a simple storage.
