Kaleb and Victor maneuvered through the throngs of adventurers, mercenaries, knights, and soldiers, all jostling to find their assigned teams.

At the center of the large crowd stood a wooden board, plastered with sheets of parchment listing the names and team allocations of everyone in the camp. 

Kaleb's eyes scanned the list furiously, his gaze darting from line to line. After what felt like an eternity he finally spotted his name.

"Found it," he said, his finger trailing across the parchment to confirm. Below his name were those of his teammates, which to his surprise, included Victor.

"Glad to be stuck with you, kid," Victor said with a grin.

"Well, I'm not," he replied, his gaze moving down the list and falling on two names, "Nessa and Casie?" he called out, and as he did, two women stepped forward.

"Well, look who it is!" one of the women yelled, smacking Victor across the back with a hearty laugh.
