On a rooftop, four people, one white haired adult and three kids could be seen. They are namely Jiraiya, Minato, Anzu and Asakura.

"Ok let's begin with some introductions. My name is Jiraiya. I like to collect 'research materials'."

Only Asakura understood what Jiraiya really meant by research materials and that made him speechless. Is it ok to tell 10 year old kids about this?

"My dream is to do something about the amount of hatred in the world."

Minato and Anzu did not understand what Jiraiya was talking about which was normal since none of them have experienced the dark side of the world yet.

'As expected of Jiraiya. He may be a hopeless pervert but his thinking was quite noble.'

If Jiraiya could hear Asakura's words he would shout: I am not a pervert, I am a Super Pervert.

'Although I could not agree with some of his decisions in the future such as not bothering to check up on Naruto personally but I guess everyone makes mistakes.'

"My name is Minato Namikaze. I like to train and grow stronger and my dream is to become the Hokage."

Minato introduced himself with his signature sunny smile. As expected of Naruto's father.

"My name is Anzu Uchiha. I like to grow stronger and fight against strong opponents. My dream is to become a Supreme Shinobi like the First Hokage!"

Asakura smiled in approval of this dream, afterall this is his goal as well but not his dream.

"My name is Asakura. I love to learn about Chakra and its techniques. I also love to grow stronger, but I am not as enthusiastic to fight as Anzu. My dream is to create techniques and tools that could give the weak a chance to hold their own against those overwhelmingly strong."

Asakura declared his dream with conviction. In the future Otsutsuki had 'invaded' Earth and there were only two people who could combat against them. He wanted to raise the strength of humans so that more of them can at least hold their own against them.

It was also because of this reason that Naruto Uzumaki had always dreaded an Otsutsuki invasion, for even the weakest Otsutsuki is Six Paths level in strength.

How Asakura would end up accomplishing this feat was unknown to him but he intends to work hard to accomplish this task.

Jiraiya looked at Asakura with surprise. He had never heard of such a wish/dream before but he knew how grand and impossible this dream truly was.

If it was just the weak against the strong then it would be difficult but not impossible. However the term used was 'overwhelmingly'. For example a comparison between a genin and Kage could lead is 'overwhelming'.

Jiraiya who had the impossible dream of wanting 'Eternal Peace' felt like he had found a kin who also dreamed of the impossible. They have different yet impossible dreams.

Minato and Asakura looked unsurprised with this declaration since they already knew his dream. Instead they gave Jiraiya's stunned expression with knowing look. Afterall they too had the same expression once they heard his declaration.

Jiraiya coughed to hide his surprise and spoke.

"That is a grand dream. You must work hard. Anyways we will start our duties tomorrow."

Anzu jumped up in excitement and shouted.

"Yay! What kind of duties?"

Jiraiya looked at her joyful appearance with a knowing look.

"First we have a particular training to accomplish."

Anzu became sour when she heard this.

"We already trained a lot in the academy."

Minato also nodded his head, agreeing with her but Asakura didn't since he knew where this was going.

"This training is a super difficult exam with a failure rate of more then 50%."

Minato asked the obvious question that should be asked in this situation.

"What happens if we fail."

"You will be sent back to the academy and will not receive a Jonin sensei."

Jiraiya smiled and replied with relish. Asakura deeply suspected Jiraiya just wanted to troll them in a similar manner as the third Hokage did to him.

[Pass the genin exam and become a genin to gain a 1% increase in Yoriichi Tsugikuni.]

The three new potential recruits stayed silent, albeit one did for a different reason, for a few seconds before Anzu screamed in annoyance and anger.

"What the hell!! What was the point of the graduation exam."

"To weed out those that have no chance of becoming a genin."

Jiraiya answered patiently and told his three new rookies.

"Tomorrow you will be graded on the Third Training Ground. Bring all your shinobi tools. The details can be read on this paper. Don't be late tomorrow."

Saying so Jiraiya left, leaving behind two perplexed and one thoughtful rookie. Anzu was the first one to break the silence.

"Our new Sensei is feels weird."

"How so?"

Asakura was interested in what she felt and asked.

"I don't know...His claim about research was totally suspicious. What is he researching and do Jonins even have time to research?"

Asakura looked at Anzu with a plain face though inwardly he was shocked.

'You are absolutely right but I won't tell you. Who know how you, a dinogirl, will react to it? I don't want to deal with that.'

While thinking about such a mundane topic he spoke out his thoughts.

"Minato, Anzu....let's go to Third Training Ground and scout the area. Afterall our 'exam' might have already started."

Minato looked at him and asked.

"What do you mean?"

Asakura held the paper in his hand and replied.

"The paper only states the time we have to arrive at the Third Training Ground and the equipment we are allowed to bring. It does not state when the 'exam' will start. I think we should scout and place traps in the Training Ground not only out of caution for the 'exam' but also in preparation for possible combat against an Elite Jonin who is the Third Hokage's student."

Minato and Anzu thought for a bit before agreeing with this reasoning and decided to follow this arrangement. Asakura smiled, happy that he has cooperative and trustworthy teammates.

"Alright let's first scout the area. Then let's go to a restaurant not only to eat but also to discuss our battle plan. Then we will arrive at 7 o'clock and set up traps, 2 hours before the agreed meetup time."

Minato, Anzu and Asakura then made their way to the Third Training Ground and scouted the area while looking at possible trap making areas. They then went to Yakiniku Q, a Korean Gyu-Kaku-style yakiniku restaurant, and ordered its salted beef tongue with Welsh onion, which is a very popular dish in the village.

While eating they discussed each of their abilities in order to maximize their teamwork during a possible fight. After their planning they separated and went to their homes, preparing for their 'exam' tomorrow.
