CHAPTER 11:ANDREW?

DREW

It has taken a lot of aimless driving and numerous phone calls to people I never thought I would ever call let alone make a request from in this lifetime but I finally found it! 'Pops parlor' It's is a beautiful social establishment that doubles as a bar during the day and a strip club at night. If anyone had told me when I woke up this morning that my first ever visit to the notorious 'GAME'S VILLAGE' would be me chasing after a very angry Maya. I would've knocked a tooth or two right out of their mouths but here I am in the flesh and I still don't believe it myself!

It's currently 7:35 pm by the clock So, I'm guessing it won't take long before people start pouring in for their nightly shenanigans. I for one would be very happy to be out of here before that happens as this is not an ideal place for a two time governors son to be seen with friends let alone by himself in such an ungodly hour.

I'm making my way towards where Maya's currently sited when I heard her arguing heatedly with the bartender for cutting her off. Something about how she's almost twenty years old, therefore; an adult who can handle her alcohol? But the guy whom I assume had been in this situation one; two many times didn't even budge. She started threatening to report him to his boss and when decided it was time for me to break this little party before it gets out a hand. I dropped some cash on the counter muttering ''Sorry about her'' as Maya exclaimed. ''Whoa! Is that you? Nope! I must be seeing things, you're not here'' while trying to stand on her feet but failing miserably. How drunk is she?

''What are you doing here?'' She asked after I'd managed to help her stand on her feet.

''To get you obviously'' I murmured loud enough for only myself to hear and she staggered towards the exits asking...

''How did you find me, Drew?'' Drew? She's defiantly drunk, Maya never calls me Drew not even by mistake.

''Only my favorite person in the whole wide world would've been able to find me as you did'' She said after I'd taken her outside and I smiled when she made funny faces at people staring at her. Good to know the cheeky side of her didn't vanish because of the alcohol at least.

''Okay, that's enough! Come on...lemme take you home'' I said while leading her to my car.

''N-no home! they worry'' She seems alarmed while saying this so I'm guessing she's talking about her friends? She doesn't want them to see her like this and I can't take her to my place or the Villa. What do I do? I dialed a number that belongs to the only person I think would be able to help me without asking questions.

''Hey!'' I said the moment he picked.

''Drew, is that you?''

''Yeah'' I answered.

'Sup, dude?''

''Look, I'm in a bit of er...situation and I need a place to crash tonight man'' I said in my most sincere voice.

''No worries man, I got you'' My iPhone made a 'ping!' sound and I sighed in relief when I noticed a text from him and I thanked him for the address before ending the call.

''Alright, come on tipsy!'' I said leading Maya into my car and she went willingly without any protest this time, please let her be this calm the whole night.

''You can make fun of me Y'know?'' Maya said meekly and I'm taken aback by her sad she sounded.

''Why will I do that?'' She glanced at me sleepily before replying.

''Because I deserve what happened to me? Go ahead, tell me how much of a mess I am. I don't blame you for hating me'' She looks so sad and heartbroken while slurring those words and I just wanted to hug her close and never let anything bad happen to her ever again.

''I don't hate you Maya.'' I told her and she laughed. More like tried to laugh really, because it sounded more like a hyena made the sound rather than an actual person.

''I can never hate you'' I muttered to myself while packing my car in the driveway of the small building's address I was given.

My host for the night walked towards me to me with a sly smile I helped Maya out of the car since she could barely stand at this point and I took the keys from him with a grateful nod and I tried to not pay attention to the knowing look he was giving me while leading her into the apartment.

Get your mind out of the gutter man. Like geez! I don't need to get a girl drunk for her to want me alright? Girls come too willingly. Why, because I'm the total pack'ge, and ladies love the mouth-watering chick magnet snack that's me thank you very much! Besides, I wouldn't even be allowed to lay a finger on this one if she was anywhere near sober.

''Ye-sss you do...you say mean things all the time...-'' She burped loudly causing her to stop mid-sentence and I chuckled at how she tried not to slur those words. How cute! Even when completely drunk, she still manages to make my heart skip.

''Head hurts...needs sleep!'' Maya mumbled once her body touched the bed. I removed her shoes while tucking her feet under the duvet, she deserves a good night's rest in a comfortable position after the kind of shity day she's had.

I stiffened as she reached out and grabbed my right hand when I tried tucking the duvet around her neck, ''Stay'' she whispered and I melted instantly, gosh I'm so whipped. Okay! Here goes nothing. 'Don't overthink this Drew, she's drunk and doesn't know what she's doing, she would've never ask you to stay by her side if she wasn't completely wasted so don't it let get into your head, Maya doesn't like you!' I scold myself but a small part of me wishes she does.

She looks as fragile as a dove as I watch her sleep, nothing like her usual tough façade or the sharp glare that always seems to appear on her face whenever I'm around. Just a very beautiful Maya sleeping peacefully with her arm clutching mine like her life depends on it (sighs)

"This is going to be a long night!" I mumbled as I made myself comfortable.
