CHAPTER 1: WILD ONES

DREW

The day is Friday, time is 12:45AM, location is TransCorp Hilton and the city is Abuja; the federal capital territory of Nigeria. Most residents of this city like: petty traders, taxi drivers, cooperate workers, nursing mothers and their kids are safely tucked in bed fast asleep in the comfort of their homes making it almost impossible to find anyone walking the streets of Abuja except these group of young adults.

As a matter of fact, they're not like all other residents of Abuja because their night has just began and the goal is to party till dawn because that's what cool people do.

For most individuals weekends are for sleeping in and getting a much needed rest before the beginning of another new week however, that is not the case for Andrew and his friends.

To them it's a constant reminder that they survived another week of school work and what do survivors do?

They celebrate by drinking and dancing the night away until their eyes starts seeing double from booze and legs turn to jelly from dancing of course.

Andrew does not concern himself with the semantics of a real survivor, for it only has one definition in his book and that is 'having a good time.' So, as Andrew is sandwiched between sexy unknown bodies as they eagerly grind against him on the dance floor full of horny wasted youths wondering which of these good looking girls will be lucky enough to feast on the mouth watering snack that is him tonight, he couldn't help but groan annoyingly the moment he sighted one of his best friends at the farthest corner of the club with eyes completely locked on his phone.

''What in God's name are you reading in a club mate?'' Andrew snapped at Hossein while yanking the iPhone from his grip.

The younger man was startled as he stood up ready to kick the ass of whoever dares to touch his cell phone thinking it was one of those guys who loved messing with others after having a beer or two before he met the narrowed look of his best friend and he sighed heavily

''Isn't there a place in the bible that says you shouldn't call God's name in vain?" Hossein inquired with a smirk.

Drew raised his perfectly curved eyebrows at his best friend before shoving him back playfully. ''What the hell man? You promised!"

''I promised I'd come and I came'' Hossein said with emphasis the 'came' with a smirk and Andrew gave him a disapproving look when he caught the meaning.

''c'mon man. I drove you guys here and i'mma take you guys back home. Isn't that enough?'' That was indeed their initial agreement as Andrew recalled.

"Yeah; but reading in a club? C'mon on mate!''

Hossein rolled his eyes saying ''I wasn't reading, okay?'' Drew quirked his brows in disbelief and Hossein knew he wasn't gonna let it slid so he said.

''I was chatting with Ella'' Drew couldn't understand why his introverted best friend is suddenly chatting with his latest fling so he did what any sane human would do.

He asked ''Why?''

"She claims to have some info on the hooded rider's identity and a race is going on as we speak'' Hossein said slowly.

''Wha.. really?'' Drew couldn't believe his ears. Hossein nodded warily anticipating the outburst of fury that comes in form of colorful curse words but Drew calmly asked.

"Does Min know about this?'' Hossein shook his head saying ''No, not that I'm aware of...why? He stopped mid-sentence to ask surprised that his friend hasn't gone off yet. He was even more concerned when Drew nodded while swallowing thickly and said. ''Get him, we gotta get there ASAP''

Hossein hastily but gently got his other best friend who also left whatever he was doing without asking any question the moment the he heard the words 'hooded rider'.

A few minutes later the three young men were sited quietly in Drew's brand new Lamborghini. Hossein being the designated driver for the night driving them to their destination while Drew aggressively taps away on the dashboard with his index finger. Min and Hossein occasionally stole glances at each other but no one dares to say a word to one another.

Andrew Oluwabankola David Jr, is a boy of many talents. There are in fact different characteristics that comes to mind when the name Andrew or Drew as he likes to be called is mentioned among pairs.

Characteristics like: chick magnet, flirt, handsome devil, rich, playboy, arrogant, charming or the ace of an underground motorcycle gang.

Only if that last title wasn't taken away from him last week by a strange hooded rider which is quite an unfortunate thing to have happen to whoever it was his friends thought because one thing they know about their friend Drew is that he's a sore loser, and someone who sees anyone who crosses him as a threat and

Andrew doesn't play nice with with anyone how much more those he sees as threat.
