Mess in the clearing

We reached the clearing. I was stopped suddenly as the opened space allowed a better spread of the smells touching my mind, showing me how close I was to impinge on other standing bodies. I twisted my waist, my shoulders followed, avoiding a collision with the first wingman. I opened my eyes, watching the sky turn around me, facing then the ground. I managed to miss him and landed crouched on the floor, with my arms at waist height in a beast-like position of fast reaction.

The elite members stood murmuring, disparagement sounded all around. I passed through them to find several other on their knees, with their hands tight together behind their arms. These must be the few who agreed on the ministry kidnaping. And standing near them were teachers and the colleges my father had been inviting home for the last few weeks. I got to the center where the crypt light unshaded the several faces I recognized. They seemed immobilized so I wiggled through them as I would between a crowd of mannequins.

- ``You alright?'' - His voice was warm, but he didn't turn to face me. My father was too concerned with the tense standoff. The minister was next to him, with my trainer and the felinae-trainer. On the other side was the bat-trainer holding the president's head. The leader of our country had his knees on the floor in a handcuffed position, with his head drawn back by these strong clawed hands. The trainer was obviously threatening to break his neck. Next to him was the Dark Knight, with one of the elite bat-man holding his head just the same way. They were in bat-mode, so their nose was bent inwards and their ears pointy towards the skies. Their eyes glazed hollow and their breaths were controlled but fast. They were smelling such a threatening burned sent I didn't recall ever noticing but could tell it was not from a bold bluff. From my father I could distinguish a faint mix of scents, from fear, to adrenaline, to anxiety and even what I would describe as exhilaration.

- ``What are you doing? You are overpowered!'' - I couldn't understand the trainer's stand. My heart was twisting like a mop on a bucket wring looking at Dark knight's tilted neck. His eyes faced the stars but he could hear the twisting silent cries and recognize me if I were still.

- ``Shut up, you litle girl! If I have what matters in my hand I have the power.'' - The trainer spat and grinned his thin mouth, so I remembered the footsteps we had just left behind.

I turned to my father - ``He's stalling! He has backup coming! He allured us here! This his plan!''

- ``Smart, but too late! If you have heard them, then there is no turning point, the damage is done and you lose!'' - My heart stopped, still facing my father and his resulting wide eyes.

- ``Don't be ridiculous, you can't win now that I am here!'' - The minister contraries him, but that only light up his bleached face bringing sparks to his round light eyes.

- ``You are so naïve you old fool! The only reason you got the president was because I gave you the plans to kidnap him.'' - I gazed at Bleach Eyes for an explanation, but the trainer continued...-`` Well, actually, I noticed they were accessed by someone who shouldn't! So I figured that if you wanted the job so badly I would even get someone to blame!''

- ``You bastard!'' - The president tried to free himself and ended releasing a hurt cry instead.

- `` Shut up, you arrogant human!'' - He then faced my father. -``Also I knew you wouldn't be satisfied with the minister's disappearance and would probably come to free him! So I would be welcomed in my own turf!''

- ``You know him?'' - My faint voice flew in the air as involuntary expiration and my eyes turned now watered and confused to my father.

He wouldn't look at me though. - ``Long story! Later!''

- ``Yes! When you get to grips with what you were expelled for!'' - the wingman's smile grew.

- ``Expelled?'' - words just slept out my mouth as though grasping for a reality I couldn't touch or comprehend.

- ``I knew she would get you straight here! Well, now I have you to blame for killing both the minister and the president. Get him!'' - the wingman hesitated, bearing their elite black turtle neck shirt and blood lust eyes. - `` We will have a new president, these humans grow on rocks like cockroaches and at least I won't be dismissed so easily. Our survival will be protected with the strength it always needed!'' - The incoming footsteps echoed through the clearing, so no soul was oblivious of our underpowered presence!

- `` I am so sorry! I never meant to do this, I just... I guess I wanted you to beg my understanding, make you sweat a little, for old time sake!'' - The president's eyes met the minister with a soft expression I hadn't witness from him. All this time, the coldness was held by a grudge? He knew the minister and was mad at him for not knowing of him?

- ``It's OK Jake. We will get this sorted out and you will have your more-than-deserved explanation.'' - The minister replied leaving us all wordless.

- ``Oh, this is rich! You know each other? Well, say farewell, in no time the witnesses of revolution will arrive. They demand blood and accountability for the mistreatment we have been facing, it is a pity they will not get to presence your goodbyes.'' - At this the kneeled elite wingmen freed themselves from their wrists plastic restrains using some blade they had hidden behind their claws and turned on their captivators who tried to keep holding them down. - ``Grown soft have you?... it's time for change, for revolution!''

- ``No! This makes no sense, what the hell are you doing?'' - I couldn't hold it in anymore, this seemed all so out of a movie. What did he mean by a revolution?

- ``You are crazy, first you make them drink living human blood and now you want them to be accomplices not to kidnapping but to the murdering of their president? and their minister because that is the only way you are getting away with this? A minister that has fought for therianthropes for decades in so many ways? Is there no line you aren't willing to cross in this mad thirst for power? '' - I burst out while my father twirled bent backwards to fend off a tall elite soldier that released himself from the whaleman that visited us often lately and charged towards him.
