Clarice woke up one week later, her mind made up. Love was not her priority anymore; all she wanted was to have a baby. Relationships were filled with jerks and Casanovas, leaving no room for emotional rollercoasters. She craved a family and believed being a single mother was the perfect path for her. With enough love to share, she would give her all to the baby. No man needed.

The idea of artificial insemination intrigued her, and after a consultation at the fertility clinic, she decided to pursue this path to motherhood. Excitement filled her thoughts as she imagined her future as a mom.

As her pregnancy journey began, Clarice found herself engrossed in preparing for the baby's arrival. Choosing baby clothes, designing the nursery, and contemplating baby names consumed her days. Amidst it all, she couldn't help but think about the initial disastrous date with Darcy.

Soon, a new adventure awaited Clarice. She had the opportunity to attend a Dental Hygiene Conference in Queenstown, and her father insisted she be accompanied by none other than Hunter. Though initially displeased with the idea, she ultimately agreed.

Hunter, on the other hand, wasn't thrilled about the arrangement. Queenstown sounded like fun, but not with Caroline. Nonetheless, he reluctantly agreed to accompany her.
