Story 2 Magical Ascencion Chapter 16

The trial of adulthood continued with more people getting hurt, and some people distinguishing themselves in their trials like my childhood friend Ed who used his novice Earth spell Earth Wave to crush his monster between two waves of rushing rocks to kill it.

But eventually, the trials ended and Makoto announced the end of the event while servants of the Raiden siblings brought the people who actually killed their monster a badge stating that we killed our monsters. "Now, for the young men, and women who succeeded in their trial. You are automatically entered into the coming Great Lake exploration so I suggest you meet with your teams." She said and Makoto's eyes roamed the stadium as the teenagers nodded in understanding.

"Then this event is now over! Congratulations to those that succeeded... And to those that failed." Makoto's smile went dull as she said without any pity. "You survived this failure, get better, and kill more monsters in revenge for this humiliation." And with that, Makoto put her mic on the stand as the crowd started muttering and with a purple flicker Makoto teleported away.

Thankfully Kusanali had returned back into the summon realm to digest the corpse of the merman she killed after Taihou managed to annoy her with how clingy she was being. So I didn't need to worry about walking with the summon and people asking questions about her and how I already had a third element.

But before the crowds moved allowing me to get to mother and Alice, I felt my phone loudly buzz in my pocket making me look at it as I waited for the crowd of other contestants to get moving. [Jake Barriss, please enter room A3 so you can meet the adventuring team.]

With another buzz, there was a picture sent, and after it loaded up. It showed Makoto cheekily smiling as she wrapped an arm around a teenage girl who was scowling up at Makoto with a caption reading. [Proof of number I.D! Now get here on the double mister!] 

My lips twitched at Makoto's antics as I mentally grumbled. 'How the hell am I supposed to be faster than a damned teleporter, and even get through this crowd?' But still I called my mother and told her that Makoto's team meeting was being called and thus I needed her to wait in the car or something.

"Taihou, I got a team meeting. You go on ahead." I said much to Taihou's disappointment who inevitably pouted at being left behind. So after getting Taihou out of my hair and heading towards mother, I followed the stadium maps to get to the meeting room that Makoto had sent the notice to head towards.

Walking into room A3, I saw that it was a rather bland meeting room with a simple fold out table in the middle of the room with a dozen chairs pushed into the table while four seats were already taken.

Obviously, Makoto was there in one seat, but the other three seats were filled with three teenagers. All three were female and as I came in Makoto teased exactly what was on my mind. "Oh Jake, you lucky young man, you got three young ladies guiding you through the Great Lake Hehe." 

I smiled wryly at that but shook my head and said respectfully. "Hello, my name is Jake Barris, its nice to meet you all." I said taking in the three ladies' appearances.

Before anyone could speak Makoto coughed and with a flicker she teleported behind one of the girls and laid her hands on their shoulders as she said excitedly. "Here, allow me to introduce your teammates as your sponsor so things don't confused!" 

"This one who looks like a cat who got woken up from her eighteen-hour-long nap without a can of food being opened is Keqing and she is my most... Adorable apprentice!" Makoto said gushing as shook Keqing by the shoulders and as I met her purple eyes I could see the unspoken message pleading. 'Kill me now please!' Being sent to via the almost blank-eyed purple-themed girl who had purple hair and slightly darker eyes.

Makoto then stepped to the side and her hands slammed down onto another teenager's shoulders and the girl yelped loudly as Makoto said cheerfully. "This is Furina, she is an orphan from the French nobility genocide who was yeeted here to America to make her fortunes after her noble family was butchered for their terrible rule Haha!" Makoto said cheerfully making my lips twitch as I took in Furina's appearance and could confirm Makoto's view as Makoto continued.

"Furina the little darling has a good future as a ruler with her water element having mutated to allow her to store echoes of things she drowns within her water to use as projections besides her master Novice spell for her water element." She explained and I wondered why she hadn't spoken of what talents Keqing awoke.

But she was right on about Furina's style as she wore clearly ornate clothes that looked like something out of a parody of a Renaissance painting with a French theme. Also, she had light blue hair that contrasted with her darker sea-blue eyes.

Then Makoto teleported to the other side of the table and I froze as Makoto with a wide smile pulled on the last girl's long hair braid making her moan with Makoto speaking over the moaning girl. "And this helpless little trollop is Lalatina Ford, she dual awoke both the Healing and Blessing elements with their initial spells merging into a powerful healing spell that also boosts the target's physical and magical abilities by fifty percent... She is also a worthless masochist pig that you three can abandon to another team if they attack." Makoto announced and the other two girls looked away in shame as Lalatina's eyes rolled up as she whispered.

"Oh, such a wonderful fate of betrayal and NTR!" Lalatina said in rapture and my face went stiff as I looked at Makoto who shamelessly looked at me in complete innocence.

Finally, I said flatly. "I have a humanoid summon... Can we leave her in the trunk and forget about her and just have my summon as our fourth?"
