I gave my sponsor an utterly deadpan glare as he sheepishly brushed his hands through his hair. "This is stupid as hell." I stated.

My counterpart nodded with his face an uncanny match to my own turning up in a wry smile as he spoke. "That's your offer man, you were... Honestly one of the most boring Jakes in existence in life to say nothing of how your soul is so damned weak and prone to rejection to so many power packages we got. That we cannot just throw a cheat into you."

I took a breath as I reviewed the agreement in front of me was a soul bound contract. [Welcome to The Company!] [The Company is a multi-reality conglomerate organization and at its base it also needs basic materials carrying the essence of its base universe.]

At its core it just sounded like a retrieval mission to gain powers and another chance at life after I died.

Died due to having hit my head on the corner of my freezer while getting a drink from the fridge after my dog barked extremely loudly due to her need to go to outside in fact...

But in reality, it was far worse as my counterpart faithfully told me the reality of things. "The Company is literally bursting at the seams at times with them being overwhelmed with clones of waifus that they just chuck into the void of realms after their souls start to shrivel up after being in stasis for millennia and not purchased. In any case, this situation isn't that great man." He started and then got into the meat of things.

Basically in a quadrant of the multiverse that had several mind-shatteringly terrible things happen at once, the concept of the Daedalus Maze from Percy Jackson with its infinite growth aspect fused with the Backrooms, and then before it could be contained the seething universe devoured several SCP universes and then as it was sealed away it just finished devouring the universe the game Lethal Company took place in.

"So in essence you will be dropped onto dead worlds as this demented universe will reflect 'Lethal Companys' hostile worlds. And all the worlds will be connected via the factories, rooms, and mazes from the previous universes... And inhabiting these lands are the monsters and beings from all worlds aforementioned universes but there is two factors you need to know." He explained before continuing as he pulled out several pamphlets.

"The materials collected from this particular universe are rich in seething primordial chaos which can be used by the various multiversal organizations to create new universes... The problem is that entities of mountain-breaking power and above can start to break the seals holding the very pissed-off sentient universe from continuing its devouring of other universes. So what we and others are doing, is sending weak people there to collect materials, and using the materials gotten from there you can redeem it for credits which also weakens the chaotic universe."

"These credits can be used for anything from powers from us your counterparts... Or if you wanted you could even trade it to the Company for low-tier waifus." He finished with some obvious disdain in his voice at the end.

I raised an eyebrow at the disdain but he took a breath and visibly calmed himself as he said bluntly. "I am rather pissed at the company as of right now... They are throwing almost expired waifu's and husbando's into this meat grinder and offer them little to no hope of a better life, but there is hope for them. If you or someone else make them fall in love with you, the Company programming and magic will make their souls synch up to yours and they will lose the Company restrictions so they can make a new life." 

My counterpart shook his head and then tapped the contract between us. "Anyway! Yes this is dangerous but I am not going to lie to you man, your soul cannot take any system or the essence of another universe so you can gain their power system. You need to handle these primordial chaos objects and in doing so your body will be quickly elevated literally within a day even! To be able to handle a cheat being injected into you." He finished. 

At that, I nodded slowly as to what other choice did I have... My current form was just my base human body that was healed during my transmigration int this middle ground. If I refused the deal... I would be chucked into a random non-supernatural Earth with no paperwork as a young child in front of a police station and would need to make a new life there somehow.

Or I just take the leap of faith and literally wrest my future from the hands of god knows what monsters and horrors within the future horrors... "Do it for the catgirls bro." My counterpart whispered and my lips twitched and shutting my brain down I just picked up the contract and poked my thumb on the spike on the bone clipboard. I sighed my bloody thumbprint sealing the soul contract on the paper.

My counterpart clapped and a swirling rainbow portal opened. "Alright, now here is your soul-bound scanner and teleporter." He spoke making me look away from the portal to a pair of bracelets that he explained would ping to me and point towards items of value in close proximity and once I was locked down in a good place I could stretch the bracelets out and the stuff between the bracelets would be teleported after twenty minutes to either the Company or my contemporaries in the Jakes.

"Now last of all. If you survive getting some materials we will send you a catalog of lower-end cheats or powers for you to buy from. If you wanna go the catalog route they will also send a catalog of waifus you can buy that they will insert beside you... But just know they will be low end waifus that won't have much if any combat potential... Hell the easy world I am sending you to only has tier-one waifus running around as well just to prove it." He finished and then giving me one final look he waved his hand at me to send me away and I yelped feeling the portal behind me suck me into its embrace.

There was no grand journey through realities, one second I was floating in the middle of a rainbow and in the next I was standing blankly in front of a large metal door with lights on the sides of the metal door.

I looked around and my lips twitched as I couldn't see more than ten meters in any direction as there was a thick fog but I could vaguely see the outline of trees through the fog. 'Oh joy... If this is following Lethal Company logic than I got Forest Giants and hell... Fucking Slenderman could be out there in the fog for all I know.' I thought with a frown before taking a breath and opening the door to the factory with a loud groan of squeaking metal ringing out with light from the inside peaking out from the entrace.

And without any more hesitation, I entered the bowels of the monster that was this hungry universe.
