You switch on your recording gear and write two words in your notebook, when your pen runs out of ink. You fumble through the Land Rover searching for another one. After you get another few words on paper, the vocalizations die away. To make matters worse, playing back the audio reveals that the microphone picked up only the wind in the trees and the crackle of the campfire for all of thirty seconds before cutting out.
