The Prince of Miracus

Serene of Cirrus POV

"Ma--maxwell?" I said as I stutter and my father smiled as he slices a piece of bread put butter on it and offered it to me.

I unconsciously open my mouth and accepted the food and munch it as my mind travel somewhere else.

He is talking about the male lead in the book?! Why am I meeting him?! as far as I remember Serene of Cirrus is not the female of the book---wait, no! no!

Maxwell Miracus is the male lead who made Serene in love, they had a romantic relationship but still didn't end up together when Maxwell falls out of love and left, he even he is the one that pursued her and he is that fall in love first. I remember that after that she didn't get any scene from the story not until her father tried to kill Maxwell because he causes Serene's pain but after all that Maxwell didn't visit her and even got to be with another girl---or I mean several more other girls.

"Oh no," I said that making my father frown.

"You don't like it? Do you prepare the soup?" He asks and I just nodded and tried to smile.

There is no way I would let that happen to me or no way I would let that jerk break my heart! I'm planning to be happy in this lifetime! He can't fall in love with me this time, I might not get to finish the book but at least I know this much to stay away from that Prince creature.

"You might also get to meet your teacher and tutors there." My father said,

"Is the prince bad?" I ask.

"The prince? As far as I remember you two get along pretty well." He said and smiled.,

"Oh, I remember." I said, "Daddy, do I need to go there not just stay here?" I ask and eat the soup on the spoon.

"That is new, you always got excited whenever there is a banquet to attend." He uttered.

"I want to play with daddy in my garden not there," I said trying my best to convince him.

"This banquet is significant, moonlight. But you can just stay here if that is what you want." He said and I smiled.

"I wait Daddy here!" I said cheerfully, YES! IT WORK!

"Then will be back as quick as I can."

"Ann, is the party dad go fun?" I ask while walking in the huge garden filled with different wonderful-looking flowers.

"I don't know Princess, but if our princess is curious why didn't you accompany your father just like you always do?" She said as we reach the huge tree and I sat under it.

"Because I want to play here!" I said and she smiled and tok out a drink on the picnic basket she is holding.

"Is the pwrince good?" I ask and she looked at me and I could see confusion in her eyes.

"The prince is good, especially to our dear prince. He always sends you a letter and his amazing drawings." Ann said.

'Even young age that jerk knows how to flirt huh?' I said inside my head.

"Do you miss the prince, princess?" She asks smiling like teasing me.

"What? Nev---I don't, I don't wike him anymore." I said and cross my little arms on my chest.

"I see." She said and chuckle a little.

I would never in this life like that jerk after what he did to me in the book, I would even kick his balls if I see him.

Third Person POV

"Grand duke!" A boy running towards the Grand Duke of Cirrus shouted from the distance.

"Greetings, His Royal Highness of Miracus." The duke greeted the little prince and the prince nodded to him and tried to look behind and around the duke.

"Where is Serene? I was looking forward to seeing her today." The prince said.

"Pardon your highness but, Serene is not feeling well and so I left her home for her to get better." The duke answered.

"She is sick, I will come with you to your palace to visit her instead." The prince uttered proudly. "I have a gift to give to her," he said and smiled.

"You're so nice to my daughter your highness, but you don't have to bother yourself so much about her. She is being taken care of at our palace, thank you again, royal prince." The duke said with his serious face looking down at the prince who is also looking at him straight in the eye.

"No, I need to see her. She will be my wife anyway, so I need to give her a ring." The prince said and smirked and turn his back at the stunned Duke, but before the prince walk away, he looks back at the duke. "I will see you later, father-in-law." And walk away with his knight.

"That little brat." The duke whispered when he felt and hear a silent footstep behind him that made him draw his dagger out before turning around to face who is behind him.

"You still haven't changed Phantom, you still got that sense." A person hiding a black clock with the hood on said towards the duke. "You know that weapon is strictly forbidden in any banquet right?" the person said again.

The duke put his weapon down and keeps it, he turns his back on the person and starts to walk and let the person on the clock follow him.

"Is that the soon-to-be crown prince of Miracus?" The person in the clock asks as they walk and she revealed herself by removing the hood.

"Yes," The Duke simply answered and enter a room.

"So, you know that he is soon to be a dead prince too." The lady said in the clock as she sat on the chair crossing her leg from the other.

"Isn't your jib to protect that brat?" The duke said looking outside the window.

"That brat? I guess you have some hidden anger towards the little prince." The lady said and chuckled and snap her finger making two glasses with wine in them appear on the table in front of her. "Have some drink." The lady said grabbing the other glass.

"I don't have time to talk nonsense with you, why are you here? We agree not to meet inside the palace." Duke Phantom said.

"We did, but I have some important news to you Grand Duke, and this is for you to be ready on what might this 'thing' brings into the empire and it's just two things, either chaos or peace." The lady said and snap her finger again letting letters turn into words written on the mist of the window.
