CHAPTER 19

Emilio looked at the two girls in bewilderment. How could he come back when the tree monster had killed him. He looked around and saw a headless body which made him immediately startled.

"J-j-Joan!" Emilio couldn't hold back his tears. He stood up and ran to Joan's lifeless body. Emilio embraced Joan's body and cried as hard as he could. How sad Emilio was to see the body of his best friend, who he considered like his brother, looked so pathetic.

"I can revive him if you want, but on one condition," Gabby said, making Emilio stop crying. "You don't miss your royal family? You can still protect them if you want." continued Gabby looking at Emilio.

Emilio wakes up to Gabby's words, and he remembers the incident when he killed him and Joan because of his selfishness to get a contract animal.

"Why did I come back here again?" asked Emilio with quivering lips.

Shushu raised an eyebrow.

"My lady brought you back to life, and you are not happy? Then let me take your life!" not Gabby answered, but Shushu with emotion because the person Gabby had turned on was ungrateful.

Shushu took out a Scythe filled with a very strong dark aura. Emilio saw Shushu's aura tremble violently. Emilio, known to be the strongest after Emperor Blaise, felt a deep fear that he had never felt before.

"Shushu," Gabby interjected a glance at Shushu.

Shushu snorted, removing the Scythe and its aura. Shushu glared at Emilio. "You should be grateful to have been revived. Oh, I know, you're already very happy with your family in the future, or maybe you don't want to come back here because you're weak." Shushu mocked.

Emilio was pensive for a moment hearing Shushu's words. Emilio felt insulted, but what Shushu said was true that he was indeed weak.

Emilio turned to Gabby. He saw Gabby smiling at him reminded him of someone he had met, but not in this world. Emilio thought about it, and finally, he was reminded of a goddess who allowed him to be reincarnated.

"P-p-please revive my best friend, please. I will be your servant if you will revive him," said Emilio prostrating in front of Gabie in a trembling voice.

Gabby looked at Emilio with a smile that didn't fade, "Okay, I'll turn it on, and you have to be my servant, but..." cut off Gabby's words.

Emilio lifted his head to look at Gabie. "Please, I will do anything for you, as long as he comes back to life and I can meet my family." Emilio pleaded.

"I will resurrect him, but on the condition that you become my servant and give up your title, how about that?" Gabby asked to bargain.

Emilio thought for a moment. Was it the right decision to leave his family? Even though he has a family, he loves his future, and it doesn't mean he doesn't love his royal family.

"You can still keep your family under my supervision, and I will give you a little strength for you to keep up with my servants. If you still choose to continue to be human, you will always be weak, even very weak compared to my servants." Gabby continued at length.

Emilio once again thought about what power Gabby meant. If he accepted that power, would he no longer be human? Considering Gabby's words being human would always make him weak?

"Okay, I'll do whatever it takes to take care of my family." Emilio, with his eyes reddened with tears.

Gabby, who heard Emilio's determination, smiled gently at him. Gabby spread her arms and let out an Element of light.

Emilio, who saw the light element in front of him, couldn't help but close his mouth. Emilio continued to see the light that propagated and surrounded Joan's body. Not long after that, Joan's severed head slowly turned to ashes, and slowly Joan's severed neck began to make her head whole again.

Emilio is surprised to see the growth of Joan's body parts, and this is the first time he has seen healing that humans can never do.

The dim light in Joan's body revealed her whole body again, Joan's eyelids twitched, and her hands groped the ground.

Joan's eyes finally opened slowly, Joan was very surprised to see Emilio, who was messed up with tattered clothes and puffy eyes, but there were no wounds on Emilio's body.

"Your Majesty..." Joan stammered.

"Joan, I'm sorry." Emilio sobbed and immediately hugged Joan.

Joan, who came to his senses, also hugged Emilio tightly. This was the same as little Emilio, who cried for him 15 years ago.

Joan had ignored Emilio's brother's call. Indeed, Emilio felt sad that he would be with Joan. Joan also considers Emilio like a brother. Since Joan was born, he would continue to be his bodyguard.

"What happened? where is the tree monster?" Joan asked, looking around.

When Joan was still looking around him, Joan was shocked to see the two beautiful girls standing behind him. Joan was surprised and let go of Emilio's arms and tried to stand up.

"Joan, calm down. They saved us," said Emilio seeing Joan's surprise.

"How can… I… I am…"

Joan's words were cut off, her hands stroking his neck.

"I don't know how this girl did it, but, amazingly, she was able to resurrect you."

Joan looked at Emilio in disbelief. How could this be possible? He was sure he had died a horrific death before. If that's true, this girl is incredibly strong because she can grow parts of his body that are not intact and resurrect them.

"Joan, listen to me, not only you, but I too have died. I was also surprised when I came back to life."

"Joan, I will be her servant and relinquish my title from today on. I will give my title later to Gustav, and it's up to you whether you want to come with me or come back. I do this to protect the kingdom," continued Emilio.

Joan was still staring intently at Emilio.

"Are Your Majesty sure?" Joan asked.

Emilio nodded his head, for him very grateful to have been revived. Even though he was already happy in his future life, he would try to make his royal family happy, even if it was only from the shadows.

"If that's your choice, then I will come with you. Who will take care of a stupid little brother if not his brother" said Joan making Emilio smile. This is a smile that is never shown to most people. Did it have to be like this so Emilio could smile?
