Prologue

Fire, Air, Water, Earth. The Avatar must master all the elements to maintain peace and balance in the world. After the untimely demise of Avatar Korra, the world descended into an era of peace and balance which was restored by Korra before her death. All the nations lived peacefully and new nations developed while old nations reached their Former Glory.

While the world was enjoying peace and balance, The members of the ancient secret society called 'The White Lotus' were tasked with finding the next Avatar. So, they began their hunt for the next Avatar in and around the world but, at last, all they got their hands on was a failure.

People started thinking that the Avatar Cycle was broken when the last Avatar, Korra battled her uncle Unalaq, the Dark Avatar. Even though, Korra defeated her uncle in that battle but, Rava, the spirit of light split from Avatar Korra and was beaten very badly by Vatu, the spirit of darkness on the day of harmonic convergence.

This event resulted in the breaking of Korra's connection with her past Avatar lives which broke the Avatar Cycle which started with the First Avatar, Wan about 10,000 years ago.

At last, Korra again bonded with Rava but, what was lost would never come back.

After five years of Avatar Korra's death, People from the ancient society of The White Lotus gave up on the hope of showing up of the next Avatar which ended their hunt to find the next Avatar. Many people thought that peace and balance were restored in the world and the true purpose of Avatar was served. So, the Avatar vanished making Korra, the Last Avatar.

Some people even believed that now the world is perfect and there is no need for another Avatar. The members of White Lotus also stopped their hunt for finding the next Avatar after seven years of the continuous hunt.

After fifteen years of peace and balance, A new threat emerged from the depths of darkness which corrupted the long fifteen years of peace and balance in the world.

All the nations tore apart except one city in Earth Nation, Omashu and the Air Nomads who were not known of this turmoil.

People again began their hunt for finding the next Avatar as the world was drawn into a new era, The Era of Darkness. Their First Target was the City of Omashu situated in the Earth Nation.
