CHAPTER - 14 { Firm Beliefs }

"Finally!"

Muttered Vlad, he saw small yellow sparks around Eren as it grew larger.

Boom!

The lighting with loud thunder caused Vlad to have goosebumps all over his body.

"Raaahh!"

Eren in this Titan form roared. He looked towards the boulder and walked to it.

Mikasa, Ian, Riko and Mitabi, all of them sighed in relief. Mikasa believed form the beginning that Eren could do it.

"Raaahh!"

But suddenly, Eren attacked the closest person to him, who was Mikasa.

"Careful!"

Riko, close to Mikasa but far from Eren's attack range, shouted.

Boom!

Mikasa jumped away in time and avoided becoming meat paste by the powerful punch.

"Shit."

Vlad stood on the balcony just before Eren, he was now the easiest target amongst all.

And Eren, or the Titan, didn't disappoint him. It pulled its left leg back and kicked at Vlad.

"I swear on my munched father's soul, If I survive this I will beat the shit out of you…"

Boom!

The house which Vlad was on, broke completely as it collapsed down into pieces.

"Vlad!"

Ian, Riko and Mitabi were stunned. The most talented individual in the team was already dead?

"Eren! Stop!"

Mikasa jumped at the Titan's face, she called him many times but the Titan was like a crazy bull.

Bam!

It punched itself on the face and stumbled back on the boulder. Thankfully Mikasa had leaped away from its face before the punch landed.

"Search for Vlad!"

Lan had a grave expression as he jumped near the collapsed house to search for Vlad.

"Please be alive! Please be alive!"

Vlad was a very important soldier, his talent was one in thousands or even a million.

Seems that his prayers were listened to as a clenched fist punched its way out of the debris.

"Vlad!"

Lan and Mitabi moved the broken pillars and other destroyed things while Riko pulled Vlad out.

Or, Vlad came out himself.

"Fuck!'

Veins popped out on Vlad's forehead as he stared at Eren with intense killing intent.

"Calm down, Vlad."

Lan took Vlad away from the area for a quick talk while Mikasa called out to Eren in desperation.

"The mission had failed. I knew there wasn't any secret weapon."

Riko placed her suitcase and opened it. There, two smoke ammunition of red and yellow color and a gun to fire them.

She chose the red one and loaded it in the gun. As she fired it, red smoke rose up in the sky clean to everyone.

"Captain Lan! Two titans are approaching from the front direction! A 10-meter and a 6-meter class!"

"Another one from the rear as well! One 12-meter class!"

The soldiers around the area shouted out towards Lan. The situation was becoming slightly troublesome.

"Lan, we must retreat! Look at him. No way is that hole getting sealed!"

Mitabi said at Lan as he turned to look towards Eren in his Titan form. Riko also agreed.

A quarrel broke out between Lan and the two. Vlad stood behind as he stared at the two approaching titans from the front.

"We can't leave Yeager defenseless! I am changing the plan. We protect Yeager from the titans until we can retrieve him. He's still valuable as one of humanity's last hopes."

Lan spoke with firm decision, others could on listen to him because the appointed leader of the team was him.

"We can't just abandon him like that. We can be replaced but he can't be."

Hearing Lan, the others were shocked but understood what he really meant.

'Is that so…' Vlad glanced at Eren, his eyes showed a red flash. Then the roars of the titans attracted his attention.

"Captain, I can't stay still seeing those titans approach. Give orders."

Vlad broke in between the conversation of Lan and his two friends.

"Huh? Can you handle them alone? No. Mitabi, you and your squad help Vlad to kill the two titans coming from the front. Riko, you and your squad handle the one from the back."

As Lan gave his orders. Vlad, without waiting for Mitabi to gather his squad, headed towards the two titans.

"Wait! Damn it!"

Mitabi cursed under his breath, he immediately signaled his squad to attack.

Wuss!

Vlad swung from one building to another with the strings. In the air, he spun and locked on his hooks at the two titans.

One hook pierced the 10-meter class titan while the other hook pierced the 6-meter class titan.

Coming between them, Vlad pulled the strings as both titans also followed their instincts to eat Vlad.

Vlad pulled the hooks back in the shooters as he fell down on the ground while the two titans collided.

Bam!

Both the titans got confused and slightly enraged. Seeing a chance, Vlad shot the hooks on the 10-meter class titan's nape.

Wuss!

Boasting himself with the high pressure gas, Vlad swung through the legs of the two titans.

Slice.

A huge chunk of flesh was cut off from the 10-meter class titan's nape. With the momentum, Vlad also killed the 6-meter class titan successfully.

Mitabi and his squad gasped seeing Vlad kill the two titan so easily and quickly.

Boom!

The two heavy bodies of the titans collapsed on a bread shop completely destroying it.

"There's more coming!"

One of the squad members pointed towards the direction where three more titans were approaching from.

Killing intent burst out of Vlad, he immediately shot the hooks to a tower and swung towards the titans.

"We can't let the newbie take all the glory! Hurry, we must not let a single titan in this area!"

Mitabi shouted to encourage his squad. They followed behind Vlad.

While Vlad, Mitabi and his squad were busy killing the titans coming from the front direction, Lan had to go and provide support to Riko and her squad because more titans were coming from the rear as well.

Unexpectedly, Armin had arrived here as he tried to talk with the Titan, or Eren who was inside.

Mikasa defended the two from the titans which managed to break in from the rear.

"Eren, please. You have to get a hold of yourself! Everyone is waiting for you! Please! Eren!"

Tears dropped down from Armin's eyes as he placed his forehead on Eren's Titan form' nape.

"Eren. One day, we're going to explore the world outside, right? Far beyond these Walls is the flaming water! Frozen earth! Snow-white plains of sand!"

"The world my mom and dad wanted to see… I thought maybe you'd forgotten. But the reason you have stopped mentioning it was because you didn't want me to join the Survey Corps, right?"

With a smile, Armin talked. His eyes showed the bright light of life.

'The outside world!'

"Eren, answer me! You knew that hell was one step beyond the Walls. You might die horribly like my mother and father did."

"So why did you want to go?"

'Why?'

Deep inside the Titan, Eren was stuck in the flesh and blood of the Titan.

'You already know why. Because I was born into this world!'

The green eyes which were dying from the inside, now grew brighter and bigger. Eren shook as his consciousness started gaining more control over the Titan body.

"Raaah!"

Eren roared loudly. His injured face and hands started regenerating rapidly which was visible with naked eyes.

"Eren!'

Mikasa and Armin looked at Eren who managed to control his Titan form.
