Advent of Astral Part 16: Animals

The next planet was another humanoid planet. Gliding in from orbit he would be scanning the planet for all types of lifeforms. Landing quietly away from everyone else. While he would look around, the flora being a mix and match between tropical trees and small ferns of vegetation.

He would still be in his armor suit as he collected plant and seed samples when he heard a crunch. He would turn and be ready for combat seeing a meek girl with floppy rabbit ears peeking off the top of her head. Her brown hair running down her body dressed up in a brown and white maid outfit with matching brown boots. Looking into her eyes Astral saw a light blue hue start to well up with tears.

Astral's suit would fizzle away showing his human looks, his black and gold coat reflecting from the gleams in the sun. "Hey, it is okay, I mean no harm." He spoke softly and slowly, trying to soothe the girl. Who would run over and embrace him while sobbing. Slowly stroking his hand on her back calming the girl.

The girl would be sobbing as she spoke. "Are you here to save us?" She could hardly contain herself. Astral would continue to soothe her.

Astral was taken aback. "I can try my best, but first you have to explain to me what is happening?" Astral would lift her up and carry her on his back as he would walk to the house that is nearby. "Why do I need to save all of you?"

Walking to the house was an understatement, it was more akin to a mega mansion. The bunny girl would point to an outer building, a storage shed. "Go in there to understand more." She seemed to be exhausted beyond the point of breaking. Astral would however do what he was told, the bright rays of sun beaming down on them, catching the eye of someone from inside the mansion.

Astral would open the door as it was packed full of people, all having variating animal traits. He was in awe, this is a human trafficking ring. "I am always reminded that humans will always be the same." Moans of pain would be heard from everyone inside as a man would walk up from behind Astral and the girl on his back.

"So you have found out that I run the animal people like slaves. What a shame, the government knows you come from space, so give up now and you can leave peacefully." He was dressed in an all white tuxedo sporting a white top hat. "Either that or I lock you in with the rest of these animals. Your choice."

Astral would turn and face the man, staring down the barrel of a pistol. The man would speak again, a hint of anger. "See, this right here has killed many of these animals. And you are no different." Astrals pupil's shrank upon hearing that. With his arms holding the girl up he would change his gameplan. A flash of light would hit everyone as Astral summoned Murasama, unsheathing it in one motion and cutting the pistol in two before looking the man in the eyes. The girl holding onto Astral with all of her strength.

"Some people have better morals. Each one of these people have a soul, and should be treated as an equal. Everyone has a meaning to life." He spoke as the man was shocked at the speed of Astral.

"You wouldn't dare kill me, I'm defenseless now!" The man would say as he watched his own body fall to the ground before fading away. Astral would toss the head with the body. Flicking his katana clean and sheathing it.

Looking to the fallen body he couldn't help but laugh to himself. "Moral's are a double edged sword, someday they will cut you." He would set the girl down who would be standing on her own as he looked into the mass mosh pit of people. "If any of you can, I would recommend going into the house and eating as much food as possible before going to your sanctuary." The pit of people became a flood as they poured out heading into the mansion to eat.

Astral would grab the girl gently as she walked away."Not to say that you aren't free, but I still have stuff I want to learn." He would go over to the dead man and pat him down and take his wallet. Pulling out a card and all of the cash. Putting it into his.

"Thank you, for killing that evil man." She would speak softly as Astral would motion for her to get on his back. He wanted to go into town and learn a bit more before he left. He figured that he was also too lazy to make food this current moment. Alexa would pop out and look at Astral as they got ready to leave.

"You do realize that the government is on their way here right?" She would remind him as he dozes off, more focused on food than anything.

"Oh, so what do you want me to do? Or should I say what must I do for you to redirect the government?" Astral would look at her and wonder. Looking through her to the closest town.

"You must admit to Ander's when you see her that you made love to a bunny girl." Alexa would gleam with a smile on her face.

Astral would tilt his head for a second, the bunny girl did the same and then it clicked. "Okay, your threat doesn't scare me. It will be be done."

"Deal, I'm going to record it. And sending the enforcement elsewhere, enjoy your dinner date." Alexa would be snickering as she faded away as fast as she appeared.

"Ah, you bitch." Astral would start walking as the bunny girl would look down to her idol. Hoping one day to have offspring to be a help to him. The wind would whistile as birds chirped as Astral walked along the road into town. Going into the restaurant the two of them would get glared at by the people in the restaurant.

The server would walk over to them with one menu. "Hello sir can I get you any drinks?" Handing Astral the menu he would look at it.

Astral would glance at the menu. "I will take another menu for her and two waters please." Astral would hand the menu over to the bunny girl as Astral looked up to the server. The man was frozen with disbelief.

The server dressed in a vest and button up long sleeve and matching black pants. "Sir, you must be serious, the animal is your slave and you are treating it with compassion?" Everyone in the building would look over to the two of them.

Astral would tilt his head and close his eyes. "Precisely!" The server would walk away without any word. The regulars in the building would all come over. Holding their weapons in their hands they would look at the man as the server came back. Holding two waters and a menu.

The server would hand the menu to Astral, setting it on the table. "Here are your waters." The man attempted to pour them on Astral and the girl. Astral would just open a hole to the pocket dimension. It would go through and come out above him, soaking the server.

"Now, listen here, All I want is a peaceful meal. So unless you want to end up like the person who owned her last." He pulled out his phone. Showing a picture of the decapitated man. "Then I suggest you leave me alone." He would glare at each of the men standing in their way.

They all would scatter out of the building as Astral opened the pocket dimension. "Leftovers it is. Could be worse however." Astral would reach in and pull out two bottles and two boxes of food. Both of which were steaming hot still. Handing one to the lady across from him. "I never got a chance, but what was your name?" He would immediately start to eat his food using the utensils at the table.

She would be blowing on her food to cool it down a bit. "Ah," She was startled by this question. "I never received a name. I'd always just had been called bunny slave."

"That's no name for someone like you," He opened a bottle of water for her and set it next to her as she quickly downed it before going back to her food. "Why don't we name you something simple yet elegant." Many thoughts filled his head before it settled. "May, from now on, you are known as May. Deal, do not respond to anyone who doesn't respond to you by name."

She would nod her head in agreeance as Astral also quickly finished his food. The two would toss the cash from the wallet and slip out the back as May also finished Astral's water. The two would adventure the night scene of the city from the rooftops. Marveling at all of the moving parts. Making their way to the government building.

Astral picked the lock and would open the door for the two, Astral would whisper to May. "Hey, I promise we'll be together for awhile. But, can you watch my back as I read up?" She nodded her head as Astral picked up a history book and began to read the horrors.
