Life 3: Wasn't he Dead?

Doctor Huang seeing such a scene told one of the nurses to call into the Li Household and tell them that Adam's still alive.

But the one who picked it up was Abel Li, as he screamed down the phone "What Do You Mean? Wasn't He Dead!!"

The nurse unsure of how to reply began to timidly respond, "Well, umm Sir he did kind of die but miraculously he gained life once again, but he seemingly has amnesia and remembers no one."

"Amnesia, damn it you gotta be kidding me... If anything else occurs call back, thank you for your time."

Said Abel as he merely slammed the telephone down before chucking it at the wall in front breaking it instantly as it made countless pieces fall to the floor.

As Abel's face began to grow purple by the moment as his eyes turned red from anger his veins became exposed as they were seen by the naked eye.

As if snakes wriggling about and soon steam came off of his body, as he flipped his table frontwards causing all his sheets to fly over while his computer broke in an instant.

And if one looked closely they would see a small sheet with a fingerprint on two ends as if a letter to give off one's property and financial businesses.

With one place having its fingerprint the other was empty.

'Aaargh, I'm sure I killed that B*stard but he's still alive, it's as if the cosmos wants him alive, like he's the favoured son of some cosmic entity, damn it... This is annoying me to no end.'

Once he had his rage session over he called out to his family of what had just gone on, as his father's eyes once again revitalised with a brilliant black light awakening sharpening his gaze once again.

As Alvin said, "We're going to the hospital."

If one looked closely at Alvin they would notice his hair was no longer combed Instead it was a mess as he wasn't wearing his gold-rimmed glasses anymore.

The matter of Adam's fall had taken a toll upon him, even though he showed displeasure to his nephew over his weak character and isolation to the family he never once hated him, he was like a son to him as he always bought what Adam said regardless of its price and let him do what he wanted.

But he always showed an indifferent side to his nephew as a mask to hide his true persona, in reality, he lived his nephew though he wasn't sure of Abel, the man was too hardened and too aggressive his image fit his personality perfectly.

His younger brother no longer felt like blood to him but an enemy a villain, a wolf in sheep's clothing. He never acted proper and always tried to take over the company causing his father to suffer more than usual.

And after Cain's death, his ridiculous behaviour had expanded to no end as if he was the ruler of the world pissing off Alvin to the extreme, but they were brothers related by blood and so he let him off each time until he became this abomination.

Thinking about it he regretted ever letting his little brother off, maybe then this world wouldn't have another pest trying to destroy it.

-Back To The Hospital:-

Doctor Huang was shocked and in fear of hearing the patients words, he had caught amnesia and transformed into a completely different being.

"Um so patient, are you okay do your limbs I mean your hands and legs feel okay, can you meet me them. Do you have any strains in your mind is everything a' okay."

Asked Huang with the best of intentions as he looked wearily at the boy's body.

"Huh, oh you mean my body, I feel completely normal as if nothing wrong happened."

Doctor Huang then said, "Can't you remember even your name? Are you confused about that?"

Hearing this the patient merely nodded as he indeed had forgotten his name from this lifetime. As he looked dazed while he thought of such things.

He had no memories whatsoever of this life and thought he had to get out of here immediately.

After this failed attempt at asking him, Doctor Huang left but not before saying to press the red button next to him in case of an emergency and such.

Before the baffled Doctor took his leave and left in a flurry.

And once his ward was empty the patient took in a huge sigh of relief as he stretched his limbs and joints as they all made a crackling noise.

The crackling noise alerted him that this body though now reformed by him had not participated in any physical activity to stay healthy.

And after this was done he sat upon his bed cross-legged as he slowly closed his eyes while his minds opened up and began to look through the earth's particles.

And from what he had sensed and seen Zhen Qi was not very abundant within this small planet, instead, he only felt slices of small pieces of Zhen Qi around the world moving about at slow speeds.

It seems this world didn't have much to offer as even the most basic of Qi was not present here, 'how could I even cultivate and return to my Spirit Cultivating Peak when there's not even enough to pass the first stage. It seems Body Tempering is the only path left for me.'

Sighed the boy as he opened his eyes in frustration feeling not much Zhen Qi in the air and world around him.

However he didn't let this frustration get to him as he had already recreated his body as the previous one was dead when he had arrived and so he used the last of his Spirit Cultivation to form a new body, that's why it looked so different than before.

And in doing so had successfully added all his traits into his new body.

And while thinking of this he wondered what the Sword Saint was doing in the Sage Realm.

The infamous Assasin from the Dagger Sect had survived and was ready to kill more people.

After this, he gradually leaned against the bed as his eyes slowly closed with his diving into meditation to remove all his anger and annoyance from his mind upon mentioning the Sword Saint and the Sabre Emperor.

After a while of meditation, he had done enough for today as he barely took in the scraps of Zhen Qi into his body, but because there was so less he stopped his automatic circulation of Zhen Qi.

Yes, he was Li Yan the Immortal Assasin from the Dagger Sect the one lauded by all as invincible the one who had gained five levels of Immortality.

He had so much to vent for and rant about, but he kept it all in he didn't want to waste his time and waste this opportunity he was given by his last Spirit Cultivation Level.

But he was hungry and needed some food.

Pressing the red button next to him one of the nurses came in and they asked him what he wanted and if there were any problems.

Li Yan however only shook his head as asked could he be served any food and something to read to pass his boredom.

The nurse was positive in her reply as she couldn't get enough of Li Yan as she kept on staring at his chiselled body and into his fiery golden eyes, also knows as the gateway to the soul.

It seemed he was a bit too much for the nurse as she seemed to almost get a nosebleed speaking to him.

Maybe it was his charm his flair, after all, he was Li Yan the Immortal Assasin of the Dagger Sect, it was obvious why she felt such an imposing pressure upon her.

Nonetheless, she had gotten him some food, but it was two pieces of bread put together with pieces of beef in-between.

With a hint of some type of spice herb though it seemed it was filled down to prevent any mortal from going into a fit over the spice.

Curious the Assassin picked up the strange triangular piece as he observed it greatly, before looking in the inside with his eyes seeing pieces of iceberg lettuce and tomatoes in-between the strange piece of food.

Once he was done with his inspection he hadn't yet taken a bite contemplated whether this tasted any good at all.

The nurse next to him started to laugh seeing him like this but stopped as she realised he had 'amnesia' and couldn't remember anything but speech and basic common sense.

So she encouraged him to eat it. "Umm Sir that's called a sandwich it's something made by putting two pieces of bread on top of each other with a filling of sorts inside, this is a Blazing Beef Sandwich from the Hospital Cafeteria, and it's trendy, so I'm sure you'll like it."

"Come on Sir, give it a try if you don't like it I can always get you something else."

Smiled the nurse as she looked at the Assassin in front of her with some fondness and sincerity.

Narrowing his eyes under the constant urge from the mortal in front of him he dived down as he brought the sandwich or something near his mouth before taking a prim bite off of the corner of the sandwich.

And once he did he knew it was the right choice as immediately he felt as if his spirit was being cleansed from all its hatred and longing for revenge.

It was as if his spirit was a newborn though technically he was as he had just been reborn a while ago as if all his past deeds had been wiped out.

He felt no longer any anger towards his enemies now and all he wanted to do now was merely just relax and enjoy this once in a lifetime with some much-needed leisure and peace.

Maybe in his previous life, he'd fight them but now after tasting this food he no longer wanted to go back to the days of torturous pain and humiliation.

He wanted a new life comfortable and free from all worries no more was there any need for him to cling to past grudges.

These past grudges would merely plant a seed of hatred within him until one day it becomes so big it devours him whole ridding him of his much-warranted peace and relaxation.

Looking up at the nurse he noticed she had a mole at the corner of her eye and a sweet smile which seemed similar to a certain fox but it was also soothing seemingly able to affect anyone with her smile.

In no means was she pretty by any milestone, she was merely average but he didn't care appearances were always deceiving.

Though average by societies standards her infectious smile was so cute he couldn't help but smile back at her as he said. "Your right, it truly tastes good, thank you, Miss?"

"Oh sorry I forgot to introduce myself to you, my name's Mei-Lin, what's yours?"

Said Mei with a smile as she then remembered that the person in front had amnesia, "Oh I'm so insensitive I'm so sorry for that, I didn't mean to say that."

Shaking my head I answered her as my golden locks swung left and right with my shaking. "It's alright Mei, I'm fine like they say when you lose something you also gain something... I think I'm not exactly sure but yeah it's fine."

Hearing this she widened her eyes saying, "Really you'll let me off that easily."

Nodding my head to say yes she took in a sigh of relief, "So do you know my name or anything as I really can't remember it myself I've tried everything."

Hearing this she felt empathetic to me as I had lost everything my memories were all gone and she thought maybe dying would've been better than this.

But she didn't let this bother her, she had to help him. It was in her power and it wouldn't hurt after all she was only telling him his name.

Scooting over Mei got up and went to the computers nearby and put in his Patient number as she looked through the hospital database to find his name and she had found it.

[ Patient: 22107 (Adam Li)

Injury: Broken limbs, Major bleeding...]

After she found this quickly she turned off the computer and erased all data of her accessing the files as she went back to his ward, with a smile she entered the room as she told him.

"I've found your name, Sir... your name is..."

"Come on then Mei aren't you going to say my name, why did you stop?"

"Adam..."

"Why would you stop again Mei, so it's Adam something."

"... Li."

"So my name's Adam Li?!"

Said the now named Adam as he repeated the name a few times before becoming adjusted to it.

"Hmm, Adam Li, not a bad name to be honest... Thank you, Mei, I'd never thought someone would help me like this."

"Well Adam, hearing about your situation I got sympathetic and this is my last day working here so I thought might as well do a good deed before leaving."

"I'll say this again but thank you once again Mei-Lin, thank you for your help it was indeed helpful and thank you for the triangular piece of bread it was good."

And after a while of this soon it had become night time as Mei had left a while ago after she wished me well, such a nice person and to me a total stranger she spoke normally and kindly to as if a fellow person.

I'll forever remember her gratitude given to me for this simple act of kindness.
