Date (2)

Adonis and Lena made their way to the theatre. Lena already had two tickets with her and both of them took a seat.

"What's this play called?" Adonis questioned

"The Hero's Sacrifice," Lena answered

"What's it about?"

"You'll see."

The play started, and The Hero's Sacrifice was about a hero who killed the demon king but got lost in the demon's land after it. You see him journeying through the demon's land and how he slowly changes. In the beginning, he sees demons as these horrid and cruel creatures that are meant to be purged for humanity, but as he travels across their land he slowly realizes that the demons are just like humans, they just have their flaws and perfections like humans. He starts to regret his actions as without their king, the demons are bound to become extinct. So, the hero starts to give away pieces of his equipment to the demons so that they can prosper again. In the end, even though he gave away all of his equipment and items to the demons and it was guaranteed that they could live on, he couldn't bear the guilt of what he did, or the number of demons he killed, so he used to dagger to kill himself as his final penance. The demons see his corpse and give him a proper burial, it cuts to some time in the future, where the hero is being taught as demonkind's savior.

The play was over and people came pouring out of the theatre, you see Adonis and Lena coming out of the play with amazed expressions on their faces.

"...Wow, that play was amazing," Adonis said

"Right! The development! The feels! The atmosphere! It was all amazing!" Lena exclaimed excitedly.

"I didn't theatre could be so...wonderful!"

"Hey, you find something new every day."

"You can say that again."

"Hey, you find something new every day."

"I didn't mean literally."

"Hehe, I know, anyways come on, our date isn't over yet~"

"Yeah, yeah, you can stop pulling on me."

Adonis and Lena's date lasted from the afternoon to late evening, and both of them enjoyed it so much that they deviated from the date plan and just enjoyed each other's company.

While walking through a street, you can see Adonis and Lena with big smiles on their faces filled with enjoyment.

"Man! This date is way more fun than I expected!" Adonis said

"What did you expect? You thought it was gonna be boring~?

"No, but I did think I would be nervous throughout it."

"Soooo, are you nervous~?"

"Not in the least."

"Good, even I have to admit, this date went far better than expected!"

They both looked at the sky and saw the sun touching the horizon. They both had sullen expressions on their face as they didn't want this date to end, but they knew it couldn't last forever. They were both walking to the gate of the city and saw a big black tent to their right. There was a sign that said 'Have your fortunes read today!' and a small line of people there. Lena's curiosity peaked and she dragged Adonis into the line.

"Don't worry, it's just one last thing before we go back okay~"

"Okay, if you say so."

It was eventually their turn and once they entered they saw a purple light being emitted from a crystal ball in the center of the tent. It was on a table and behind the table sit a person in black robes.

"Come customers, let me read your fortune." The person in black robes had a feminine voice.

Lena and Adonis looked at each other before going to take a seat. When they both sat down, the person in robes questioned "What fortune do you want me to tell you about?"

Adonis didn't know what he wanted to be told by the person, but Lena had an idea already.

"Can you tell me what's my future like?" Lena wanted to know if she ever gets out of the situation that she is in.

The person in robes moved their hands around the ball and touched it gently, after that they said "Your future will be filled with happiness and love."

Lena was surprised to hear this as she didn't know exactly what it meant. "Can you be more specific?"

"Hmm, a family that you will have with the one you love most."

Lena was even more surprised to hear this and got curious about the person who she has a family with, she sneaks a peek at Adonis and saw him looking curiously at the crystal ball. She smiles slightly at this and said "Is the person that I have my family with someone I know?"

"Hmmm, yes, in fact, they are close to you right now."

Lena grew more surprised and blushed a bit before looking at Adonis and seeing him looking at her as he heard it as well. They both blush more deeply and looked away from each other. Adonis didn't know why, but he felt like the person in robes giggle a bit.

Adonis decided to go with a common question "What is my future going to be like?"

The person moved their hands around the ball and touched it gently again, but this time, the ball shined a brilliant gold, taking everyone by surprise.

"Amazing! Your life will be filled with such glory and happiness, I can't even know how it will turn out!"

Adonis and Lena were taken aback by this, they sit there for a good minute before finally saying "So, all of this is for certain?"

"Well, your destiny may change along the way as you make choices, but as long as you don't change your entire life around it should still end up all the same."

"I see." Both of them said.

Lena remembers her future of having a family with the one she loves most and the fact that they are near her right now, she looks at Adonis who seemed to be in contemplation of his future.

The person in robes noticed this and decided to make the two of them a little closer.

"If I may, can I recommend an item that will fit you two?"

Adonis and Lena paid attention to this and nodded their heads.

The person in robes took out a red string and place it on the table.

"If you two tie this red string to your ring fingers and keep it on for an hour or two, your fates will be guaranteed."

Adonis didn't know what they meant but Lena grew redder at this, as she knew what they meant and what they insinuated.

'So Adonis is my..."

"How much does this cost!" Lena said loudly.

"It doesn't cost anything, neither do the fortunes I told you."

They were surprised at this and Adonis grew suspicious of the string, he used his senses to tell if there was anything wrong with it, but it didn't give out anything suspicious.

Lena was surprised at the free cost "W-wait really?!"

"Yes, don't worry, I already make enough as is."

Adonis and Lena look at each other and thank the fortune teller, before taking the string and leaving. Adonis and Lena tied the red string to each other ring fingers and hold hands before finally making their way to the gates.

The person in robes took off their hood, and it showed a beautiful woman with ethereal eyes.

"Those two are so cute with each other, good thing I added that little something to the string~"

The woman added another effect on the string and it was so unnoticeable that even Adonis's sharp senses couldn't detect it.

If you're wondering about the effect, let's just say it is something like an aphrodisiac.
