"Are you okay?" I asked as the wheezing came with every breath she took in.
"I'm fine," she reassured me with a kind smile. Honestly, she didn't appear to be older than me, but she seemed so innocent that I couldn't be sure. Even her voice held a note of innocence that made me think that she was in her early teens.
Her long black hair fell down to about mid-back, looking like a waterfall. Offset by the paleness of her skin, her blue eyes shone bright. I had never seen anyone so beautiful.
"I have a heart problem," she finally admitted after a second, her hand going to her chest. "I have a long list of medications that I need to take, and of course, I can't be stressed."
I nodded my head. "And being stuck in this room wouldn't help either, huh," I smiled at her, already thinking about what medicines at A.M.K would be able to help. Even if she needed surgery, I would be willing to pay for it.
